About Stacy
Biography
Before becoming an attorney, I was a middle school teacher. Teaching provided me with many opportunities for advocacy, collaboration, and public speaking. During law school, I worked for the Lubbock County Office of Dispute Resolution where I studied legislation affecting Family Law matters. I had the opportunity to present my findings to the Lubbock County Board of Judges and worked closely with a few of the judges to create new policies for the Lubbock County Court system. I also worked as a student attorney in the Texas Tech Family Law and Housing Clinic where I gained invaluable experience practicing law under the supervision of a licensed attorney. After I graduated law school, I went back to Texas Tech School of Law and worked in the Student Life Department. I've been working at Payne & Truitt since May of 2017. I am passionate about my work and look forward to serving new clients.

I needed a child custody modification for two sons that wanted to live with me. Stacy had to modify the child support payments and worked with the ex's lawyer who agreed with her new calculations. Stacy had the paperwork signed and filed within a month's time.
