Before becoming an attorney, I was a middle school teacher. Teaching provided me with many opportunities for advocacy, collaboration, and public speaking. During law school, I worked for the Lubbock County Office of Dispute Resolution where I studied legislation affecting Family Law matters. I had the opportunity to present my findings to the Lubbock County Board of Judges and worked closely with a few of the judges to create new policies for the Lubbock County Court system. I also worked as a student attorney in the Texas Tech Family Law and Housing Clinic where I gained invaluable experience practicing law under the supervision of a licensed attorney. After I graduated law school, I went back to Texas Tech School of Law and worked in the Student Life Department. I've been working at Payne & Truitt since May of 2017. I am passionate about my work and look forward to serving new clients.

Greatest divorce lawyer one could ask for
Going through a divorce is something I never dreamt I would have to experience, but my cheating ex was an abusive narcissist who clearly suffers from a personality disorder. Incredibly helpful & easy process!
Stacy was so helpful and clear during the divorce process. She was a great communicator about what was happening and needed to happen. Stacy was very professional and I felt very lucky to have her by my side during a tough time.
