Hands down best family law attorney in the area

5 Stars truly isn't enough to rate Melissa as an attorney, and as a person in general. I had a three year long, in two different counties, hell fire of a court case that ended with becoming a jury trial for termination of rights. Melissa fought tooth and nail for my case from the first meeting till... the very end. After some of our hearings I would have people call me asking who my attorney was because they heard she was REMARKABLE in court. Remarkable is an understatement! My case ended with a HUGE victory, and that is because I had an attorney that was extremely thorough, fought like a dog but was also graceful and charismatic, she knows her stuff and if she doesn't know it she will go research and learn it, and she fights with integrity and compassion every step of the way! Being a family law attorney is undoubtably her CALLING and I urge you to stop the search for an attorney, and get THIS ONE! I contacted many attorneys, and have dealt with many others because of my ex husband and none compare to Melissa and her team. She has made such an impact on our lives and helped us achieve things we didn't think were possible in this case, and I am forever grateful that I had her as my attorney.

Full-Time Single Dad

I met my wife in the military and after we finished our enlistment we came to Lubbock for school. After a year, it just wasn't working and my ex and I filed for divorce. She wanted to take my son with her to her home state in the northeast. The best decision I ever made was choosing Melissa. She supp...orted me and my family while we fought to keep my son here. Every step of the way, she explained everything and guided us in the right direction. After the trial, my son had to stay in the state. However, only two years later, my ex tried again to take my son. We went for custody this time and I am now the custodial parent of my perfect boy. Melissa will always be a special person to me and my family. She believes in the equal rights for BOTH parents. She has no problem being blunt and holding everyone accountable (even her own clients!!). It is a rough process that I don't wish on anyone, but it is necessary sometimes. I have nothing but confidence in Melissa. She is always just a phone call away.

Relationship: Co-worker

"I absolutely endorse Melissa. Melissa exemplifies the full spectrum of what I believe a good lawyer should be. She is smart, tough, and works very hard. She listens to and respects her clients while, at the same time, clearly communicating to her clients expectations that are the most reasonable and achievable. She does a fantastic job of taking on issues in a case, even if it causes her a great personal inconvenience and diminishes her "bottom line." Finally, she treats each client with the utmost respect and carefully communicates with her clients regarding developments and strategies in their case. I never have any hesitation in recommending her to my own friends and family."
