A friend recommended Christina to me after I was served papers from my ex suing me for custody of my son. Lost, desperate, hopeless, & afraid, I called Christina for a consultation. She was able to get me in THE FOLLOWING DAY although 2 other attorneys that I contacted could not even meet with me ...before my hearing. Christina patiently sat and listened to my entire story - which detailed 10years of family life and hardships - and was rather unorganized and probably seemed more like rambling than anything. But she found ways to relate to my situation & shared details of her own experiences. She took the time to empathize & listen & then explained my options carefully. i truly feel like Christina CARES about me, my son, my family, & the outcome of my case. There is no doubt in my mind that she will exhaust all legal avenues and pursue any viable options to help me... as if it were her own family. If you want an attorney who will take time for you, who will listen to your every concern, & who will fight for what is fair, she is an excellent choice. She may not be the most inexpensive attorney out there, but you get what you pay for... and when something as important as one's family is on the line, we don't want the cheapest or most inexperienced lawyer representing us. Christina is timely in responding to messages, emails, even texts. And has kept me updated and informed every step of the way. I hired Christina Woods to handle my divorce mainly because she had multiple offices which was convenient since I live in a different town than I work in. I met with her the first time just for a consultation and hired her immediately. She has been amazing every step of the way - clearly explaining... the process, updating me immediately of any changes, and her fees were better than any other quotes I had received. Christina is an excellent lawyer!!! I have referred her to as many people as I can. She is fair priced and very honest which is hard to come by in attorneys! When I first walked in to Ms. Woods office I had just left a child support hearing that did not go very well for me, I was disheartened, afraid, upset and had very little hope for any help from anyone, and she was my last stop before heading back to Lubbock. I had completely given up on lawyers and j...udges and saw very little promise of ever there being an improvement in my circumstances. I had very little money and not a promise of making much more than I currently was, I was in the middle of unenforceable custody orders, and up to my eye balls in past due child support. What Ms. Woods did for me was see past the black and white on the paperwork and beyond some of the things being held against me, and beyond my financial ability to repay and dove head first in to my case with bravado and tenacity knowing full well the cards had been stacked against me pretty high. Any other lawyer would have sent me on my way packing as fast as I had walked in her office. What Ms. Woods endured during the course of was stonewall after stonewall from the opposing side as well as very little to work with during the case. Ms Woods endured countless nights of texting me after counseling sessions where I was upset and asked her endless amounts of questions. One night after a particularly horrible session she stayed on the phone with me the whole time I drove from Levelland to Lubbock until I was calmed down and able to feel comfortable with moving forward in the process. I have never been made feel like a "lost cause" or "waste of time" and her staff has also treated me with respect and dignity just as she has from the moment I walked into her office. I am confident Ms. Woods has always acted in mine and my childs best interests and always advised me to conduct myself in a manner that would never be detrimental to my case. I can't say that about the other lawyers I've had in the past for this same situation. Ms. Woods finally HEARD what I was saying and cut through the attorney jargon to finally understand what I had been enduring for the last 8 years. I without a doubt will always be indebted to Ms. Woods for her perseverance and guts to handle my custody modification. I can't be grateful enough for the hard work that has been put into my case. She has restored my opinion in lawyers and brought hope to a case that I thought I had no chance of ever making improvements on.
