After graduating with university honors from the University of Arkansas she went on to attend law school at the University of Denver where she completed law school in just two and a half years. During law school, Kristin’s main focus was domestic relations matters.
During her time at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law Kristin served as an extern for Colorado Legal Services Family Violence Unit in which she gained valuable experience assisting victims of domestic violence. In addition, Kristin practiced as a student attorney in the Sturm College of Law Civil Litigation Clinic where she represented victims of domestic violence in permanent protection order hearings, divorce proceedings, and allocation of parental responsibilities proceedings. Before becoming an attorney, Kristin worked as a law clerk at a well-known Denver family law firm in which she gained valuable experience relating to complicated domestic relations cases. Kristin’s clients have the added benefit of an attorney with extensive litigation experience as well as mediation, as Kristin is a certified mediator. Her experience in these areas provides her with a unique perspective and skill set, which enable her to successfully navigate more complicated issues that may arise in a case.
Kristin returned from Colorado to Texas with her husband and two dogs to bring to clients in her home state her skills as an experienced litigator and licensed mediator, advanced knowledge in family law, and licenses to practice law in Texas and Colorado.

Child support case
Very poor experience with Kristin Weaver. Not only she failed to manage case properly amd present all of the information but every time I question anything that was done she would threaten to withdraw from the case. Key details of the case were missed and when I reached out to their Principal Leslie ...
Denis - I am sorry to read this. We aren’t ethically allowed to comment about cases with specific detail. I can say that our opinions about the outcome and our overall effectiveness are very different. Most cases have weaknesses and our job is to protect our clients’ interests while also being realistic and making sure to identify issues. That requires frank conversations and sometimes things clients don’t want to hear or refuse to accept. When clients request it, we'll make sure the case is reviewed carefully and a full explanation is provided as to all legal strategy recommendations. Our firm works in teams, which means the average years of experience being applied to any client's case, strategy and work is over 10 years. This is an emotional area of law where the stakes are high. We utilize experts when necessary, we keep digging when most would stop, and we take pride in our service to both our clients and our community. As with every client of this firm past or present, we wish you nothing but health and happiness and we hope your opinions change over time and when you have an opportunity to reflect on your case’s outcome. Kind regards.
