Courtney Duperier Newton

Ms. Newton helps doctors in bad situations with the Medical Board, in which the physician is guilty until proven innocent. I was most impressed with the degree of relief I felt after speaking with her. In the midst of heightened anxiety, her competence and steadiness gave me a "Hey, I got somebody ...strong in my corner" feeling. She is realistic about unpleasant possibilities in dealing with the Board, and a compassionate partner in troubled times. Her success in my case far exceeded my expectations, as I believe the Board to be unusually punitive in nature. She was especially adept at utilizing a key piece of favorable evidence in my defence. Her alertness and skill were readily apparent during my dreadful (to me) hearing, where she facilitated my giving the Board appropriate responses to their concerns. Their dismissal of the allegations surprised me, but not Ms. Newton.
