Amy is wonderful
Amy was SO helpful to us working through a our very first contract with PBS. We had absolutely no idea how to navigate it and were total newbies. She's easy to talk to and communicative.

Amazing Lawyer
My company has had Amy as our lawyer for almost 10 years. We rely on her for both big and small legal counsel and we would not be able to conduct our business as needed without her. She's consulted for us, drafted and created countless agreements and templates, and is always communicative and clear. We would recommend her to anyone in need of a good lawyer, especially in the entertainment industry.

Clever, smart, thorough, and professional
I needed an entertainment lawyer to review an option/purchase agreement for my novel sent to me by a Hollywood executive. I needed a clean document in order to proceed with pitching the project to a financing entity for a streaming series. Amy Mitchell was recommended to me by a top entertainment lawyer in Austin. Amy was brilliant, noting the pitfalls in the contract, defending and protecting my rights, and creating an agreement that was palatable for both of us. She asked pertinent questions, and together, we refined my basic needs going forward. Amy is highly intelligent, sharp, transparent, patient, and above all, she thoroughly understands the issues of entertainment agreements. I come from a family of lawyers, so I am confident of Amy's total professionalism.

Kind and Fair
To be short and to the point - all my interactions with Amy have been quick, easy, and fair. Correspondance was equally easy and fast. I highly recommend Amy Mitchell.

Client for 10 years and beyond!
We have worked with Amy Mitchell for almost 10 years and she has been vital in our business -- growing it, building it, and protecting it. She is highly respected in the Austin community and her reputation is stellar amongst other lawyers and a variety of clients. We are so grateful that she sees us not as a company but as people and helps us to understand the legal process. Highly recommend her particularly in contract and licensing, but she has many more values than that!

We adore Amy!
Amy has represented the Production / Recording / DJ acts TRITONAL & PRAANA for over 10 years now, and as Entertainers who've had solid success - we couldn't be happier with her as our Counsel! Amy has negotiated and renegotiated endless Record Deals, she structured obtaining ownership of our own recording label, and she has worked on so many of our Booking Agency and MGMT Contracts. She's prompt, detail oriented, and creative on constructing intelligence language on contracts. We love her!

Rude!
I never leave reviews but this was by far one of the worse business experiences of my life. I will never use Amy again and I hope others don’t waste money on someone who has such disdain for their clients. Almost every email I received was purposely rude. She managed to make an already stressful and uncertain situation much worse. I have owned businesses for over fifteen years and I would never dream of treating people this way. So very disappointing.

Response from Amy Mitchell September 29, 2020
As I have said directly and in response to your other negative posts online, I apologize that my boundary-setting came across as rude. That was certainly not my intention. Having received only positive feedback from you during my very brief representation (one week) and being told that you needed to stop the representation due to cost (I billed approximately 2 hours after a courtesy discount), I was truly stunned by your online reviews. I pride myself on being open and honest with clients (including prospective clients) about my limited availability, which has been even more limited during the pandemic. You hired me for a single contract and expected a simple once-over. When the contract turned out to require substantial revision, I kept you updated on my progress, and I often responded to you outside of regular working hours (nights and weekends) knowing that you were anxious about getting a deal done. Nevertheless, it's clear that this was not a good fit. To reiterate what I've said elsewhere, I wish you the best of luck in your career and am happy to have a phone conversation to discuss further since my tone was misunderstood via email. Perhaps the lawyer referral I provided to you will work out.

"Amy is my go-to resource when I have an issue in my Entertainment law practice, and has been since I've graduated law school. She has the sort of wealth of knowledge in her field that can only become manifest with experience, and that's exactly what a client should look for. Not to mention she's professional, kind, meticulous, thorough, and the past chair of the Texas Entertainment and Sports Law Section of the State Bar. A "rock star" attorney for actual rock stars. I whole-heartedly endorse her."
