I help startups and small to medium sized businesses set themselves up for success. My clients get counsel on enacting best practices to avoid disputes and law suits, negotiating the best possible contracts -- even when dealing with a larger company or big corporate customer -- and navigating regulations and statutes to protect their assets and mission. In particular, I work with many small and family-owned construction subcontractors who enter large contracts with much larger general contractors and developers, and who often find themselves de-prioritized for payment.
When business relationships go south, I'm here to step in and help achieve a resolution that helps clients move upward and onward -- usually through negotiation, mediation, and a last resort, litigation. But my goal is to maintain long-term relationships with my clients, supporting them along the way to make sure disputes are unlikely to happen at all. The best court case is the one you never have to file!
I take my role as counselor very seriously - my job is to support you in executing on your plans. And my metric for success is simple: If you can sleep a little better at night, I've done my job. Whether you are looking to lay a solid foundation for your business, making moves to protect what you've built, or dealing with an ongoing dispute, feel free to reach out.

Gracefully resolving tenant disputes
Maggie advised me on how to effectively deal with difficult tenants to resolve disputes. She was quick to respond, professional, and personable. Her advise and communication was easy to understand, and she was very patient. She went above and beyond my original request by pointing out other areas of ...
"I will admit, I'm a little biased. However, don't let that detract from Maggie's value as an attorney. Her methodical approach to legal questions, coupled with the individual care she gives to her clients is a winning combination. She further impresses me with her constant search for and expression of her depth of legal knowledge. She struck me as a stellar attorney when we worked together on matters prior to her joining our firm, and she continues to impress me today."
"I have known Maggie for a good while. She is bright, resourceful, determined, and willing to work hard for her clients. I think she would be an excellent choice to help a small business navigate the many varied legal issues it faces every day."
