Made me a believer that there actually are good attorneys

Mr Burk after reading the questions I had regarding a case I had inquired about, took time after reading my very lengthy outline of some very sensitive and personal information, showed astonishing empathy by taking what had to be at least 30 mins to an hour, to explain how I should proceed, even thou...gh it was established that he was not the right attorney for me. Along with giving me sound advice on a personal level which I sincerely take to heart. My experience with attorneys have not always been the best, until now. Thanks again for taking time Mr Burk and for showing me your human side! Sorry we couldn’t work together on this, but I will recommend you if I ever meet anyone with needs that reflect the law you practice. ~John

Business litigation

I had a business relationship with several other persons involving multiple high dollars projects. For years I not get the to deal with us in a fair and expeditious manner. I had tried a couple of other lawyers without success. I hired Mr. Burk and his firm. He was able through a lawsuit and nego...tiation to restructure my companies relationships, so I would be fairly treated and receive more money from the transactions. Moreover, he negotiated a major discount for us, if paid within the extended time he also negotiated.All of this resulted in my getting a far better economic result than we had hoped. I can highly recommend Mr. Michael Burk and the Burk Law Firm PC to others.

Excellent Representation

The Burk Law firm represented me in a complex Federal contracts fraud case. MIchael and his team of lawyers did an excellent job in researching, preparing and timely filing of the lawsuit as well as supporting the DOJ in their efforts to understand the full facets of the recent laws applicable to thi...s complex case. Michael is an excellent communicator, and I came to understand that he had my best interests in the forefront of all of the legal efforts. I would absolutely use Burk Law firm again and recommend Michael highly.

Burk Firm Review

The Burk Law firm was very professional and extremely knowledgeable in the contracts and agreements area. They have assisted us with our corporate contract reviews and have brought to our attention several areas of concern, which we would not have identified. Their responsiveness to our requests ha...s also been very appreciative, because some of the partners we deal with need the contracts/agreements turned around in a couple of business days.

Seek legal services elsewhere, where professionalism and respect are priorities

I approached Mr. Burk to seek potential representation in a legal suit. I was initially impressed by his knowledge. However, the professionalism quickly deteriorated. In almost every interaction, he boasted about his success and experience, claiming to be more honest and superior to other lawyers. Th...e engagement agreement he sent was riddled with typos, repeated paragraphs, and missing elements. My paralegal sister and I found it laughable. I attempted minor revisions. Mr. Burk criticized my corrections and insulted my understanding. They were basic suggestions to add a few missing elements to the agreement. He rebuffed them, insisting they were unnecessary due to them being his "policy" already. Respectfully, if it was already policy, why is was problematic to confirm it in writing? Furthermore, how was I supposed to be aware of his internal policies? Communication was another issue. Before I could even submit my revisions - which took a day and a half during a busy period - he accused me of going "silent" and questioned my seriousness. After reluctantly accepting some of my changes, he pressured me to sign the revised agreement and send a retainer by day's end or face revocation of his offer. This came just as he informed me he would be unavailable for the next two weeks, directing me to another attorney in his office whom I had never met. He gave me the attorney's direct phone number so I reached out to introduce myself and attempt to understand what the protocol would be while Mr Burk was away. Burk then sent an email loaded with unnecessary insults and revoked his offer to represent me. His demeanor is unprofessional and even hostile, turning a potential client into active detractor. I am thankful to have discovered this conduct before engaging his services, but I am extremely frustrated by the considerable amount of my valuable time he wasted. I recommend seeking legal services elsewhere, where professionalism and respect are priorities.
