My wife and I called Kirker Davis on a Friday afternoon a day after getting served with some pretty heavy stuff the afternoon before regarding a custody suit from my son's mom. Melissa, whom I cannot say enough good things about, was the first person we spoke with and she began pulling files due to ...time sensitivity issues on our side. That evening around 7, after a day of court and recognizing the sensitivity of the timing, Chris Kirker called me back and spoke to my wife and I for almost two hours. His advice was very direct, candid, and we appreciated him sharing with us some of his possible strategies moving forward. Those strategies are the reason we hired Chris Kirker and they proved to be more successful than we had ever anticipated. Chris, his team, and his partner, Holly Davis, took an all hands on deck approach and in the short amount of time given, they reset the hearing date, scheduled a settlement conference and we walked out of their office after half a day of negotiations getting everything in writing that my ex-wife had attempted to strip away. We had fully anticipated a standoff yielding little to no results, but trusting Chris's experience and buying into his game plan paid off dividends. Having gone through a contentious divorce and custody battle 8 years ago, my biggest fear was that this would drag on for months, or that we would get an attorney that would allow it to drag on for months for the billable hours. Chris Kirker is an outstanding attorney who masters in planning excellent strategy and representing his clients one hundred percent. Words cannot express how happy I was with the results of my case because I got everything I could’ve asked for only because of him and know very well that I wouldn’t ha...ve gotten most of it if it wasn’t for him. Chris did an excellent job in helping settle my case out of court, getting me the primary custody, all the rights including domicile rights and a reasonable amount of child support that I could ask for. Chris proposed exactly what I requested. The previous attorney I had, would simply argue with me on almost everything I proposed, even though it was reasonable, the case was being settled out of court and meant for the best interest of my kids. My previous attorney kept favoring the demands of the opposing party even when they were out of the norm such as them trying to restrict me geographically even though my ex lived out of state. But when I switched to Chris, he listened to my request, and immediately said that he understands that my geographic restriction would not help with my ex's visitation schedule with my kids anyway and would simply make my employment opportunities limited as a result affecting my kids' future. So, Chris was able to get me the domicile rights which meant a lot to me. Besides that Chris also took care of some other concerns I had regarding safety of my kids and even proposed additional terms in the decree to help protect our future. Throughout the process, unlike my previous attorney who stressed me out, Chris was compassionate and understanding making it so comfortable and stress free for me. His strategy also played a big role in helping me achieve all of my goals. Chris Kirker has been working on my child custody case for about 10 months now. He is the only lawyer I feel comfortable working with because he tells the facts, and not just what I want to hear in an attempt to make an extra dollar. There have often been times where my emotions took over and Chri...s was always very honest about the most affordable and effective route for us to take, however he did give me options about how we could proceed and then helped me weigh the pro's and con's of each option.
