Christopher V. Goodpastor

Christopher Goodpastor is a Partner in the Austin office of Watts Guerra LLP. Christopher litigates a variety of business disputes in state and federal court with an emphasis on commercial and intellectual property matters. He has also represented clients in appeals before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Ninth Circuits and the Texas Courts of Appeals.

Christopher has represented clients in various industries including computer software and hardware, internet and web services, securities and financial services, oil and gas production, telecommunications, health care, and insurance.

Before joining the firm in 2007, Christopher served as Chief Counsel for a publicly traded telecommunications company, overseeing the company's legal matters with a focus on antitrust litigation, securities litigation, and regulatory matters.. Before his tenure as in-house counsel, Christopher served as an associate in the commercial litigation sections of Fulbright & Jaworksi LLP in Houston, Texas and Morrison & Foerster LLP in San Francisco, California.

Christopher received his JD with honors from The University of Texas School of Law in 1994, and his BS from the Chemical Engineering Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin in 1990. He is admitted to practice in Texas, California, the United States Courts of Appeal for the Fifth and Ninth Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas, and the United States District Courts for the Central and Northern Districts of California.
