Scott founded Hendler Flores Law in 1993, driven by a desire to help people whose lives have been unjustly devastated by an injury, illness or loss. Scott and his team share the belief that all people matter and that their stories deserve to be told.
Based in Austin, TX, Hendler Flores Law represents clients throughout the US and internationally in complex litigation. The firm’s main areas of practice are mesothelioma, wrongful death, life-changing injuries, dangerous products and prescription drugs, toxic and chemical exposure, and police misconduct cases.
We’re not your typical law firm. Our concern is in doing what’s in your best interest, not ours. Our focus is to understand your needs and expectations and honor your wishes your legal representatives. Our attorneys begin by listening to your story, learning how your injury or loss has impacted your life and understanding what outcomes you hope to get out of your case.
Scott is licensed to practice in Texas, New Mexico, Illinois and Pennsylvania, and regularly represents plaintiffs in complex injury litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States and abroad. As an experienced advocate for victims of corporate misconduct, Scott has been a speaker at international conferences in the US, Spain, Mexico, Japan and Scotland, as well as Guatemala where he addressed the attorney generals of all the Central American nations regarding the use of tort law to address misconduct by foreign corporations.
Before becoming an attorney, Scott studied international human rights law and policy at the Inter American Court of Human Rights. He later served as a senior investigator for the Texas Commission on Human Rights.

I was at a loss about how to proceed after my husband died from exposure to asbestos in 1993. Because his exposure came during his enlistment in the Navy, I didn't know if it was possible to make the asbestos manufacturing companies responsible for his death. I was left with three young daughters, ...
"I was fortunate to work with Scott Hendler at Trial Lawyers College. Beyond the strong working knowledge of the law for which he is known, Scott brings both insight and candor to the table, which frequently helps clients better identify and appreciate their interests and objectives. Scott is also a wonderful resource -- always willing to assist fellow lawyers and advance the cause of justice."
"I highly endorse this lawyer's work. Scott is an extremely talented lawyer with whom I've had the pleasure of working on several matters. Scott combines a keen strategic sense with a brilliant understanding of complex legal questions. He's also very hardworking lawyer and a genuine pleasure to be around. He is adept at handling mass tort cases involving hundreds and even thousands of plaintiffs, sophisticated scientific evidence, and knotty procedural questions. I highly recommend him."
