Jeffrey Wilton McCrary

Jeff McCrary is a criminal defense attorney who represents a wide array of clientele: from those who have been falsely accused of a crime, to those who have made a serious mistake and need legal guidance on how to get their lives back on the right track. He has a strong passion for helping people overcome their criminal charges by offering advice, legal representation and trust.

Jeff was raised in Austin, where attended both high school and college. After graduating summa cum laude from St. Edward’s University, he moved to Orange County, California, where he earned his law degree at Chapman University School of Law. During summer sessions, Jeff would return to Austin and intern at the Travis County Attorney’s Office. It was during his summer internships with the County Attorney that Jeff realized that he wanted to help those facing criminal charges, rather than prosecute them for the mistakes that they may have made.

After graduating from Chapman in 2010, Jeff returned to Austin to take the Texas State Bar. He accepted a position as an associate attorney with the McMinn Law Firm in December of 2011. Jeff represents criminal defendants in counties all across Texas, including Travis, Hays, Williamson, Gillespie, Comal, and Bell Counties. He has seasoned experience in pretrial litigation, plea negotiations, jury trials, and case preparation in federal and state court, at both the felony and misdemeanor levels.

Jeff is a member of the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Texas Young Lawyers Association, State Bar of Texas and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. He is an alumnus of the Phi Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity and of the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. Jeff is also an avid fan of the Texas Rangers baseball team.
