I have been practicing criminal defense exclusively since 2003. I love to help people who have found themselves on the wrong side of the law. I take pride in my results and in the progress I have seen so many clients make following their difficulties. My approach is holistic--I care not only about getting the best outcome possible for each and every client, but also about my clients as human beings. I have said many times, I do not want repeat business. I want my clients to go on and prosper after their case is concluded. Thankfully, most clients do just that. And they send their friends, family, and colleagues to me when they too find themselves in trouble. For this reason I can proudly say that my business has thrived purely by word of mouth for over a decade. I am grateful to be in a position to help individuals accused of crimes and plan to continue to do so for as long as I am able. In the words of John Wesley, "Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can." I live by this and I endeavor to embody this ethos in my work.

has some exp but doesnt use it
this attorney was hired to defend me and at first she explained my severeness of my charges, and as discovery came along she insisted i was illegally searched ,and that my rights were violated. and telling me what i wanted to hear ,as the case went along she started retracting her defense, and started...
I know who posted this and am not surprised. I would like to inform the public that this individual was a habitual felon which means his penalty range was 25 years to LIFE in prison. This means that best case scenario, upon conviction, he would have received a minimum of 25 years. The State's first offer was 20 years in prison. I negotiated it down to two years. He did not want to do any jail time. With his consent--because you must have the client's consent--we did an open plea. This means that we put on witnesses and made a case for probation. He would not have been eligible to receive probation from a jury. Much to the State's surprise and our relief, the judge gave this individual 5 years of probation. By any account, someone who is looking at 25-LIFE who ends up with no prison time whatsoever should be pleased. It was a great outcome and one I am very proud of. The client paid less than 1/4 of his fee and due to his later expressed anger I declined to accept his offer to pay me "what he thought I had earned." I simply wrote it off. To this day I do not understand his displeasure but I do hope the public will look at the facts and make up their own minds. This client got a great outcome, and he is with his family and able to raise his small children because of my efforts. And I sleep very well at night knowing that.

Finaly an attorney who truly cares
Virginia is an outstanding attorney who truly cares for her clients well being. She is a professional who understands that people make mistakes and runs off of the hope and belief that the client can and will succeed in life if given the opportunity. She speaks to her clients with intellect, confiden...

Professional, compassionate, and the best choice in the worst circumstances
I employed Virginia in 2012 at basically the lowest point in my life. She was a professional through and through. She was supportive, but realistic. She made a terrible situation into a manageable one. I've never dealt with such a compassionate, yet gritty lawyer. She "know's her stuff" and is s...
"I endorse Virginia wholeheartedly. As a family lawyer, from time to time, I need to refer a client to competent criminal defense counsel. Often this takes shape in the form of a DUI or DWI, sometimes domestic violence allegations and sometimes issues dealing with alleged child abuse or protective orders. While these areas touch family law, they are not within my specialty. It is invaluable to have respected, compassionate, skilled and wise criminal counsel on hand for clients who find themselves in crisis. Virgina is all of these things and more and I am thankful to have her as a colleague and friend. My clients who have needed her counsel have been grateful. It is without hesitation that I recommend Virginia."
