Throughout my career as a prosecutor, I've tried cases to a jury from a traffic violation to a capital murder and many crimes in between. I proudly represented the community of Austin in the prosecution of the SXSW capital murder trial and the Tarrytown Murder. It is now time to use my trial and litigation experience to serve you and other citizens in the best possible way.
I was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. I graduated Lubbock Christian University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. From there I attended Texas Tech University where I graduated with my Law degree and a Master's in Business Administration.
I began my legal career in San Antonio representing citizens accused of crimes as well as business owners in civil manners. Following that, I served as Assistant District Attorney of Lubbock County for nearly four years. For the past 8 years, I served as Assistant District Attorney for Travis County. Since then, I started my own practice in early 2018 serving the people of the Greater Austin Area.

Absolutely Incredible
I hired Marc Chavez for a Title XI case I was named a Respondent for. To put it briefly, he was incredible. He was present at all of my interviews with investigators and provided me with useful legal counsel throughout the entire process. Marc without a doubt is in a class of his own. On the day of our hearing, the Complainant tried pulling a fast one on us by having a surprise witness show up to testify against me. Marc handled the situation amazingly. He managed to stay calm and continue to present our case in a clear and concise manner. If you find yourself being falsely accused of violating Title XI policies at your university, Marc Chavez will be key to your exoneration. I cannot recommend him enough.

The best lawyer!
Marc Chavez represented me back in 2019 for a DWI case. He was able to get my DWI to a deferred obstruction of highway with a 24 month probation period. A year and a half later he was able to get my early termination granted with Travis County. A year and a half later he was able to get my early termination granted with Travis County. He’s very honest, truthful, and knows what’s best for you and his case. He got me the deal of the century and I can’t thank him enough. Hire him immediately!

Top of the line!
Marc Chavez was an excellent attorney, he always contacted us with updates about the case to keep us informed and overall very professional during the whole process. He was very persistent on getting my cased dismissed until it got dismissed! Definitely a top of the line attorney!
