Amalia Marise Beckner

Ms Beckner is currently representing a client, Davante W., a young black man from my neighborhood. We live in one of the worst neighborhoods in town. He is from another state and has been basically on his own before he was even a man legally. For someone like him it's not easy when you're surrounded ...by so much negativity and bad characters. I've had him over sometimes and what I see is a kid who hasn't been given a chance to get himself together but does try. Most attorneys would just write him off as just another lost cause and get him off their docket as fast as possible. Especially when its pro bono. However, Ms Beckner has proven that she does care about more than just money and her reputation. It matters to her that she could help change a young man's future for the better rather than turning him into yet another sad statistic.
