Michelle Louise Ibeling

Michelle L. Ibeling graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree majoring in accounting. She earned her law degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Michelle clerked for the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office in the adult felony division during law school. She then clerked for the Honorable Gerald J. Wolf, District Court Judge (now retired) in Rice County, Minnesota. In 2004, she joined Braden Law Office as an attorney, where her practice focused on family law and probate matters. 

In 2007, she and Jessica A. Hafemeyer formed Ibeling Hafemeyer, Ltd., in Faribault, Minnesota. Jessica and Michelle practiced bankruptcy, family law, and drafted wills. Michelle also probated estates. Michelle was a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota Rules of Practice, allowing her to serve as a mediator in family law cases. She was a member of the Rice County and Minnesota State Bar Associations. 

In 2010, Michelle and her family moved to Austin, Texas for her husband’s job. Michelle stayed home with their three children while acclimating to life in Texas. In 2017, Michelle became licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. She joined the Law Offices of Carl Knickerbocker, PC in August 2017, where she practiced family law and probate.

in April 2018, she formed Ibeling Law Firm, PLLC where she primarily does estate planning and probating estates. She is a member of the Texas State Bar Association.  

Michelle enjoys volunteering at Concordia High School in Round Rock. She is the Committee Chair for their annual Gala which raises funds for the school’s scholarship program. She is also the “Team Mom” for the varsity soccer team and is a member of the Campus Beautification Committee. Her favorite role at Concordia High School is being the Head Dance Director for the school’s performance team as well as the competition team.

In her spare time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, watching her two daughters cheer and dance and her son play soccer and basketball.
