Wonderful Attorney

I was represented by Bobbi Shell and can't say enough good things about her or the way she handled my case. She was honest and forthcoming with information from day one. I always felt a sense of relief after talking with her about my case. Her knowledge of the laws and just the way she carried herse...lf made me at ease in the courtroom. I would highly recommend her for anyone needing good, honest representation.

Rude and unprofessional office

Do NOT hire this firm, after paying them $4500 they forgot who I was, I never got one phone call back and when I would go by their office no one knew anything about my case. The only time I was able to talk to Eddie Shell's assistant she was rude and very unprofessional. Save Money and hired a re...al attorney who will fight for you and not be after you're money.

Brusque, Non-Communicative, Did not handle money transactions well.

I spoke to this attorney a total of one time in the course of about 2 years in which I was his client. That one time was when he interviewed me. During that time I was yelled at a little bit (Gosh, this attorney must be high strung, I thought!) and was told that sometimes clients "call him too much...." One other lawyer was there, who I assumed was an assistant attorney because he was not part of the Shell & Shell law firm. That attorney was nice and answered all questions to the best of his ability. But he left the firm. And no notice was given to me. I had no other email addresses or contact information. Phone calls were not returned. Once I called about 25 times about something I considered important. No one returned these calls, so I drove all-the-way out to Marble Falls to the office. I was ignored. I found a paralegal and talked about the issue, and I was definitely made to feel not welcome and that I should not ever do that again. In fact, I sort of had to "impose" on the paralegal to get some face time. This is my most worst-favorite thing that they did: They sent a certified letter to my late post office box (that USPO doesn't even exist anymore) and when it was returned to them, they kept the returned certified letter to prove that they had done due diligence in contacting me. I found out on my own, doing my own research, that my case had been dismissed. That was ONE YEAR after the certified letter had been mailed to me and returned. During this time, I had called about three times, and none of those phone calls were returned to me. The certified letter did not contain billing information relating to the retainer of (a lot of) money that I had given him and his law firm. At no time, even during the time when my post office box was valid, did I get an itemization of money spent. Now that my case has been dismissed, and I have asked about money spent, I'm told this glossy story, "Well, sometimes when we bill over the amount given, we don't charge the customer." I was told this by a brand new attorney that showed up on the scene and "talked" to Eddie for me. This poor attorney had no idea of the history of the case and had to do footwork to figure it out. Eddie could have just called me. I had written my own answer to the law suit, since according my graduate degree, I'm somewhat qualified to do that. I'm interested to see what their "answer" actually looked like and if it was worth the money I gave them. To date, they have lost original paperwork that I sent them during the discovery process. If they (the law firm of Shell & Shell and Eddie Shell himself) had been more communicative during this process, they would not be searching for a needle in a haystack right now for all that discovery I sent them. Some items were originals, and my initial foray into getting this property back was met with the impression that maybe I was mistaken--maybe I didn't actually send in that paperwork since it's not in the original folder. (What?) Had I not been treated like a hot potato and passed around to whatever lawyer or paralegal was handy, I doubt I would be having this problem right now. During the law suit, I was concerned that there was not a countersuit; this was neither properly addressed nor explained to me. No lawyer at this law firm, including Eddie uses the phrase, "the law states that...." properly--a way of definitely explaining to your customer where he/she stands on the law. In fact, I never heard it used. After dealing with Eddie Shell and the law firm of Shell & Shell, I definitely have been left with a feeling of, "What just happened?"
