We had a hearing today and Jon could not wait for sentencing until April , 2015 he made the decision without asking my son what he wanted to do. He acted like judge and jury and basically hung my son out to try. He didn't stay for the sentencing just ran out of the court. The judge was still looking... for him. I am filing suit and a grivience with the starte of Texas ba; he should never be allowed to practice law ever .

I contacted this office 1 year ago. I was quoted a price from the office n then he quoted me another price. I agreed to pay 1500 retainer as long as the contract was written in the agreed quoted price. This office took my money n I never heard from them again. I never received a contract. This offic...e stole my money. When I call the staff hang up n my face. I have sent emails n faxes. No response. My x that my case was going to be with is dying. I have been asking for my money since it was taken. I needed him to represent my child support case. My kids are now n their second semester n college. Please find another attorney. This office will embarrass you n make your problems 10 times worse.

What an awful experience... Did not do anything that I asked him to do, even when I told in voice, and writing Did not send me any legal documents to review before sending to my Ex's lawyer, or anyone else. Even after I asked him to do so several times. Did not keep me informed I had to do all ...the leg work, and then some Just a dreadful overall experience working with this guy... NEVER EVER AGAIN. If you are considering hiring him, look else where and run!!!

I cannot put into words how bad of an experience I had with this attorney and his staff. Contacted him in August 2012 to get divorce started and child support..... in my temporary order he didnt get me child support he had my husband pay for daycare..... the issue with that is my ex husband took th...ings literal so took kids out of daycare had his mom watch the kids so he paid her nickles and she was constantly calling me to pick up the kids. Attorney Disrud did nothing..... So we went to court in November 2012 and judge signed off on divorce only thing needed was decree and child support..... He sent decree to my ex and my ex was constantly sending it back to him for errors, such as spelling of names, wording and typos.... (guess he was racking up time to contine to bill because I was constantly seeing bills in my mail from him for his time fixing his errors.) EVERY UPDATE WAS TOLD TO ME BY MY EX OR HIS LAWYER I WOULD HAVE TO CALL MR DISRUD AND ASK WHATS GOING ON!!!! I WAS NEVER CONTACTED BY THEM AND HE ONLY CALLED ME ONCE AFTER I THREATENED TO GET A NEW LAWYER. EVEN MY EX WOULD SAY I HAVE THE WORST LAWYER EVER AND MY EX WASNT AFRAID OF MY LAWYER SO HE DID WHAT HE WANTED. IN THE DECREE IT FINALLY STATED CHILD SUPPORT. MY EX WOULD SKIP PAYMENTS JUST BECAUSE HE KNEW IT WOULD TAKE MR DISRUD OR HIS STAFF MONTHS TO CONTACT HIM OR DO ANYTHING. NEEDLESS TO SAY THE DECREE WAS DRAWN UP IN NOVEMBER.... AFTER SENDING IT BACK NUMOROUS TIMES TO FIX ERRORS HE FINALLY TOOK IT TO COURT IN MARCH 2013 TO GET THE DECREE SIGNED... THATS 5 MONTHS... AND TODAY 7/16 IVE FINALLY GOT CHILD SUPPORT GARNISHED FROM HIS WAGES AND THAT I HAD TO DO MYSELF THAT SHOULD HAVE GONE INTO AFFECT OR PROCESSED IN NOVEMBER OR AT THE LATEST IN MARCH 2013 WHEN JUDGE SIGNED FINAL DECREE. I was desparate calling his office crying for help and nothing would get done. I had to put my kids in a real daycare which isnt cheap 1700 a month for 2 kids and I make 2500 a month but child support wasnt a priority to them or getting me help that I needed. Everyday I called and it was always ok we will and then we will call you back. Not only did i not get a call back I would wait 2 days and wouldnt hear from them then when I called it was the same thing "Mr Disrud will go to court and request it and then we will call you tomorrow." I cannot count how many times I heard that. Bottom line these people dont know how to genuinely care for there clients not do they even care enough to keep them informed and get them what they need. To this day I still haven't received my final Decree signed by the judge from them I continue to call and email them and they say ok we will look for it and call you once we found it. In the mean time my Ex husbands lawyer sent it to me and so did my ex. BAD BUSINESS!

Mr. Disrud and his office has provided service for two consecutive cases including a divorce from an abusive husband and an emancipation of a 17 yr old granddaughter. If I had not been pleased with the first, I definitely would not have continued with his services for the second. I was under a lot ...of emotional stress during my divorce after being abused for 39 years and Mr. Disrud showed extreme patience with my tears. I can't begin to tell you how important that was. He reached a settlement for a lot more than I had anticipated. He worked diligently in the emancipation case for my granddaughter as she was pregnant and had no healthcare. My daughter would not provide her birth certificate or social security card; consequently, for legal purposes, she didn't even exist. The VERY day after my daughter was supposed to respond to the served documents, Mr. Disrud walked the emancipation to court and had it signed by the judge and provided to me. I personally consider him a genius. I know he is a caring man who takes his clients cases seriously.
