Divorce and Custody Battles are stressful enough in themselves. Combined with military TDY, training, and life responsibilities Attorney Disrud did an amazing job keeping me informed and instructing me step by step in whatever I needed to provide to continue pushing forward with our 3 year custody b...attle. There were times I felt like giving up and Attorney Disrud took the steering wheel and knew exactly how to carry out my wishes. I felt very comfortable with his team. He would always return my calls and emails within 24 hours and would set up crucial meetings to make sure we addressed any complications. I wouldn't have chosen another attorney.

Mr. Jon Disrud is very conscientious, courteous, and knowledgeable. Many attorney's take too long to return calls or communications. He took the time to meet with my husband and I multiple times, even on short notice. We had a case that crossed state lines and Mr. Disrud's expertise in the area was a... true blessing. He fought hard for our case and did everything he could. He genuinely cared about the outcome of our situation and it showed. We highly recommend Jon Disrud for any of your attorney needs and would use him again in a heartbeat. His assistant, Margaret, was also always very helpful and kind.

Jon handled my divorce which included issues with a child out of state. This was a somewhat complex case as it was an issue where certain aspects started while I was out of state (Texas resident but assigned/military outside Texas and then came back to Texas to finish divorce). Jon did a great job ...managing not only our side but also moving the other side along as it delayed and attempted to bring issues that were not warranted. None of this is easy or fast (the easy shouldn't be but I think everyone wishes the fast in court/legal was) because it involves a lot of emotions and two potentially differing opinions. I would highly recommend Jon to any person that sadly must go through a divorce.

We had a hearing today and Jon could not wait for sentencing until April , 2015 he made the decision without asking my son what he wanted to do. He acted like judge and jury and basically hung my son out to try. He didn't stay for the sentencing just ran out of the court. The judge was still looking... for him. I am filing suit and a grivience with the starte of Texas ba; he should never be allowed to practice law ever .

Jon promised to take care of me as a client and did nothing of the sort. Jon was supposed to be representing me for a divorce and waited so long to file contempt charges that by the time the court date came around we were all of the sudden in mediation and Jon never used the contempt charges that th...e wife was to appear before a judge on during the same week we went to mediation as leverage. Jon just sat back and let it all play out. At the end of mediation Jon and the mediation lawyer proceed to colabarate with each other to put a parenting facilitator and require me to pay for it all and all mediation cost. Look out because his wife will come in and try and get involved too. His wife came into his firm and took off wife my entire file and she is not a lawyer. Obviously anyone knows that this is illegal. Your best bet is to find a lawyer that can look you in the eye and be honest to you from the very beginning. I would not recommend Jon.
