We needed help after economic downturn

I called David Bosworth about some debt problems we had, I wanted to consider bankruptcy as a solution to the situation. I had a beach condo in addition to our homestead in town, and he suggested that we try to sell that in order to pay off the debt. He said there were concerns about bankruptcy pla...nning that we needed to do, and that our income was close to the limits imposed on debtors for a Chapter 7 liquidation bankruptcy by the 2005 “Bankruptcy Reform Act”. We discussed this at the office, and they pulled the credit report, and put the information in the software. This showed that we were close to the limit, but could come in under maximum income limits for this location and the size of our family. The office pulled all the information, wrote it up in the bankruptcy software and sent us copies of the draft pdf’s through email for our review. Bosworth guided us to the places that give the required Credit Counseling course that is required before filing for bankruptcy. During this time, we were able to obtain a purchaser for the condo, signed a contract for sale, and had the title close on the real estate sale, paying off the debt on that property. This left us with only secured debt on the exempt items that we wanted to keep and pay for, and a ton of unsecured debt that could be discharged. After the case was filed, Mr. Bosworth worked with the Chapter 7 Trustee and the U.S. Trustee to iron out some concerns that they had. He prepared us for what was likely to happen at the creditors meeting, and then he met with both the trustee and the attorney for the U.S. Trustee at the creditors’ meeting, resolving any remaining issues. Finally, he followed up on the last requirement. This is the mandatory financial management class. After his reminder, we took the courses and sent the certificate over, and his office filed this final requirement. Our problems were due to economic fluxuations and medical expenses. Whatever your problems are, be sure to get good counseling in order to handle the situation.

Bankruptcy and Real Estate Attorney, well recommended! Knows the rules, and the opportunities!

Mr. Bosworth handled a bankruptcy case for me recently. The case had several difficult issues, including emergency filing, and filing a motion to extend the stay against a mortgage foreclosure, since this was a refiling. He handled the usual bankruptcy paperwork, the schedules and statement of financ...ial affairs. He researched the real estate legal issues regarding my situation. He sent instructions and comments on media sound files, which made it easier to understand the requirements. Then he prepared a defense against the trustees motion regarding confirmation and the exemptions regarding real property. He always met deadlines, and made enough time for meetings and communication with me, and always with a prompt response. I would definitely recommend him!
