Mr Medley has been a Godsend. He is professional, direct, extremely knowledgeable & experienced. Unlike so many attorneys He’s also compassionate & understanding. Throughout my case he made sure I was informed, understood his plan, the TX family code laws & how they applied to my situation. I was ver...y anxious & nervous that once again my ex’s deceiving ways would prevail as it had done in the past. Mr Medley’s expertise & recommendations relieved that anxiety, I had absolutely no doubts, he was completely prepared, I knew at last I was in good hands! In court, Mark Medley’s technique was outstanding, his presence immediately authoritative & commanding. My Ex had no intention of paying child support for our daughter, he (& his atty) had gone to great deceptive measures to avoid it. Mr Medley proved this beyond any doubt. First time dealing a lawyer and Mr. Medley forever put a bad taste in my mouth for the legal profession. I approach Mr. Medley about my case to fight for standard visitation of my child because my ex lived in a different state. On the first visit he presented himself as a very knowledgeable professio...nal and assured me that I had a good case. Once the retainer money was handed over it all went down hill. Mr. Medley and his office failed to keep me inform about my case on multiple occasions. When you schedule a meeting with him @450/hr he always assures you things are ok but when they truly are not. Mr. Medley pushed for my case to go to court and did not even mentioned mediation as an option until I brought it up. I ended up settling on an agreement with my ex without mediation and no courtroom time. The retainer fee was 4500, after all was said and done and his office calculated the time used only a couple of hundred bucks was left from the retainer fee. And till this day i have not seen it. I contacted his office multiple time but they claim they are under construction and do not have access to my files. Please be warned this a VERY unprofessional lawfirm and and lawyer. I was better informed by my ex's laywer if that tells you something.

Mr. Medley sales pitched me to get the retainer and told me I had a great case and this "wasn't his first rodeo". He told me the initial meeting was free (another way to get me to pay) and then charged me for it when I fired him. He then didn't return calls or emails and his staff was rude and unpr...ofessional. Once he realized I didn't want to go to court and settle outside of court, he stopped caring and told me that my case was a lost cause and I should prepare to pay the maximum to my ex-spouse. He communicated with the other lawyer without my knowledge or consent on decisions that I should have been a part of and then told me that he communicated with me. When I fired him he took a week to get me the final bill so he could nickel and dime me. I filed a grievance with the Texas Bar but is was denied and the local San Antonio Bar office was of no help. Mr. Medley is an unethical, unprofessional and untrustworthy person.

Phenomenal attorney! After using Mr. Medley some years ago for a family law matter, it was a no-brainer to contact him again to represent me for my divorce. I’m very glad I contacted Mr. Medley’s law firm to handle this matter, because my simple divorce quickly turned into a very complex divorce, b...ecause of the domestic violence perpetrated by my ex-spouse. Mr. Medley and his staff were exceptional and stood with me every step of my legal process. He and his staff worked exceptionally hard on my case, as evident by the successful outcome. Mr. Medley and his staff are knowledgeable, professional, supportive, and compassionate. Although this divorce was a very frustrating and difficult experience for me, dealing with all the antics she (my ex-spouse) displayed throughout the divorce process, Mr. Medley always brought calm, understanding, and perspective to my situation. Mr. Medley and his staff skillfully worked through all the difficult family law issues, and navigated a successful outcome, while keeping fees reasonable. Without reservation, I highly recommend Mr. Medley’s law firm to anyone needing a skilled, knowledgeable, experienced, and competent attorney.

My case last from 2012 to 2017. It was very exhausting and awful, My ex husband and his wife tried effortlessly to cause my sons harm while my then current husband was dying from brain cancer. Note: My ex husband did not have a visitation order(on purpose). It was a long case, I was very emotional..., and Mr Medley was amazing.....he wont hold your hand BUT I promise if you see him in action in the courtroom he is AMAZING and his reputation follows him! I have a son with autism and he now has lifetime childsupport, my ex husband did not accomplish any items he set out to do.He has no visitation, and has to pay reinbursement of health insurance and half of all private school tuition. In full trial Mr Medley was able to pick apart his entire case! He is AMAZING. We did not start this case by any means....it was done to cause me harm...BUT Mr Medley made sure I was taken care of!! And compared to my ex-husbands attorney fees, Mr Medley was only 1/4th of the cost. I can not say enough wonderful things about Mark Medley. Let me add when the OAG finally enforced the excessive amounts of child support owed, my ex husband hired another pricey attorney who tried to tear me apart. I was told after the OAG hearing by multiple attorneys "Mark Medley trained you well"! I was able to stay calm and kept redirecting all the questions back to the matter at hand "Only child support"! Again, Mark Medley is AMAZING in trial in the courtroom....you would rather have him on your side than against him!!! Especially if you have a child with special needs!! I dont see the stars to rate him but definitely 5!
