After My Ex-Husband initiated Divorce papers, I talked to several attorneys who told me that with my husband being retired and me still employed, I would not be entitled to any of his retirement investments and could not receive any type of monetary settlement, then I found Harold, he assured me that... what I was being told was incorrect. Harold counseled me through a long 6-7 months of negotiations with my EX and his attorney, when I told Harold I only needed enough of a settlement to get into a small apartment and start my life over, Harold reminded me of what I had brought into the marriage and that my worth was more than what I was willing to settle for. With his knowledge of annuities and investments Harold was able to demonstrate to my Ex-Husband, and his attorney, that I was entitled to a large portion of his annuity investments. As soon as my Ex-husband and his team realized that Harold was correct they reluctantly agreed to a settlement, which thanks to Harold was substantially larger than what had been initially offered (or what I had been willing to accept). Harold is a true professional, he is always listening, always thinking on how better to serve, he is sympathetic and truly cares for his clients well being, his quiet unassuming manner quickly put me at ease while at the same time kept my Ex-husbands attorney guessing on what his intentions were for the case. He and his staff were always quick to answer all of my many questions, and never failed to return a call even if it was after working hours, I started this trek as a client of Harold’s and now am happy to consider him a friend. You can retain a cheaper attorney, but its my experience that “you get what you pay for”, in my case is a new home with no PMI, a relatively new vehicle with no payment, a nice emergency fund, and no outstanding debt in my name, everything I need to start my life over…. Harold Zuchflact represented me during my divorce as well as the subsequent custody battle for my two children. Harold Zuflacht charged us $30,000.00 for a simple child custody case. He dragged out the case for 1 1/2 years; then his bookkeeper said she had a refund for us. In spite of giving her our address 3 times, she sent the "refund check" to the wrong. address and ignores our attempts to contact her or ...their law office. Child custody is painful enough without getting out of $30k and lied to about a refund. Just a word of warning!!
