Lisa founded her law firm in order to provide her clients with more personal attention in resolving their legal matters in a timely, efficient way, and to be able to better help those in need of legal services. Her practice focuses on estate planning, estate settlement and litigation, elder law, real estate, and tax controversy matters.
Lisa earned her Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Miami before going on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law. She is licensed to practice in the State of Texas and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas and United States Tax Court. Lisa is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Texas Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law Section, the State Bar College, and the San Antonio Bar Association.
Prior to starting her own law practice, Lisa worked as a legal services attorney where she was able to represent hundreds of clients in issues ranging from simple estate planning matters to landlord/tenant and real estate litigation. Lisa has litigated cases in federal and state courts and at all times, has served as a tireless advocate for her clients. Following her tenure as a legal services attorney, Lisa went on to work for a national tax consulting firm, where she counseled and defended dozens of companies with regard to their Internal Revenue Service disputes.
Lisa is particularly passionate about representing elderly clients and protecting them from fraud and abuse, helping them obtain appropriate support in the home, safeguard their assets, and plan for the future. Lisa enjoys counseling all of her clients on how to make provisions for future generations and how to leave a legacy for their loved ones, no matter how large or small their estate may be. She believes that estate planning is not simply a way to distribute assets, but rather, a way to provide for your family and loved ones in a meaningful way.
Aside from her dedication to the practice of law, Lisa is also committed to her community. She is a native Texan and has called San Antonio home for over a decade. During that time, she has been involved with various social organizations. Lisa provides pro bono legal services for senior citizens through the San Antonio Bar Association and is a volunteer for Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts. In her free time, Lisa enjoys exercise, cooking, music, reading, and her Siberian husky, Presley.
