Sarah Ella Spears

Ms. Sarah Spears was the best defense attorney in Maricopa County, Arizona. She defended me in a case in 2016 that went to trial. I was facing up to 22 years. I took a last minute deal for 7 months in county and 5 years probation right after the jury went to lunch. Looking back I should've taken her ...advice and continued. I wouldn't have the trouble of finding the right job that I've experienced since then. I got off of probation 2 years 8 months early for being a model client, but that hasn't helped me one bit. Sarah Ella Spears is an inspiration in my life to this day, both as a professional and as a human being. She went above and beyond the call of duty in checking on my mother during my incarceration. She answered calls from me while I was serving my sentence regarding work furlough. Sarah's greatest weapon is also her greatest weakness -- her compassion. Wherever you are Sarah, thank you for being the best attorney of the best attorneys, but even more so for being a remarkable human being and an example that everyone should follow. I think of her often, especially when I face challenging situations. She is logical, clear sighted, realistic and honest. That last one is the Achilles heel of any successful attorney -- not for Sarah -- it serves her because she serves justice, which is not always black and white. Sarah is truly in a class of her own. I truly hope that she continues to stand firm in principle and swims with the current in matters of fashion. I will forever be indebted to her for believing in me as a person. I hope to someday repay her for her generosity, for doing her duty and for inspiring me to be a better human being.
