Laurie is a San Antonio native and graduate of Trinity University and St. Mary's University School of Law. She is an active member of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas (REPTL), is a graduate of the REPTL Leadership Academy, and has spoken frequently on issues related to title insurance and probate and estate issues to law students, community groups and at State Bar seminars. Laurie is a proud member of the Junior League of San Antonio.
