Experience – especially relevant experience – and a proven track record of success are of the utmost importance when hiring an attorney. I have an abundance of both. While there is nothing wrong with having a general law practice, the nuances, complexities, and technicalities of the various legal disciplines make it impossible for any lawyer to master them all. For more than 15 years, I have sharply focused my law practice on real estate and water law – this is what I do and what I love.

Environmental and Natural Resources 25%

Over the years, I have represented water interests throughout the Lone Star State, and my client base encompasses virtually all stakeholders in the water industry. My Clients include water districts, Article XVI § 59 water authorities, political subdivisions, non-profit water supply corporations, special utility districts, investor-owned utilities, landowners/ranch owners, water well drillers, individuals and major corporations. We provide judicious water rights advice and counsel.

For almost 20 years, I have filed and defended claims and lawsuits involving fraud or concealment in transactions related to real estate. These cases frequently arise from a Seller’s non-disclosure of facts (the existence of an undisclosed easement, prior problems or repairs, prior flooding, previous insurance claims, fires, titleclouds, competing ownership claims, size/acreage discrepancies, etc.). Smart, Aggressive and very knowledgeable about legal procedures

Trey Wilson really knows his tuff. he asked lots of questions to fully understand and evaluate my land dispute. At first I wondered whether he thought I was lying or hiding something, but after hearing the whole story, he came up with an immediate strategy that I and my previous lawyer never even tho...ught of. It worked, too.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2005.

Fully Probated Suspension issued in TX, 2005

updated on 02/04/2016

Fully probated suspension means an attorney is technically suspended but may still practice law. The State monitors the lawyer's activities during the suspension to make sure that he or she does not repeat the behavior.

Robert’s comment:

“Attorney received probation in 2005 for failing to report another lawyer's misconduct that occurred in 1999-2000. Probation was successfully completed in 2007.”

Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?

  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
