A Bite as Hard as the Bark and Performance with Dedication that Exceeded Expectations

In many ways, the work of an attorney in my opinion, is easy. They risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who often offer up their entire selves and expose vulnerability only for another they have never met make judgement based on an 3 page 8.5 x 11 summary of one’s serious and usually li...fe changing event. It further seems today’s society thrives on negative criticism, which seems fun to write and read via social media rendering verdicts of guilty in a “trial by Facebook” that are often lead by the ignorant and half based rumors. But the bitter truth when seeking judgment from a court, we must all face that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk handed up by some law intern is more meaningful than our own personal value we have designated it. However, there are times that a lawyer can truly risk something, and that is in the discovery and defense of something they themselves believe in. It is without question I have found that in an attorney from San Antonia, Texas. After multiple interviews with counsel across the state of Texas, it appeared futile to take on a school district, much less an established, self-righteous and arrogant one such as Plano. It has been proven to me that the world is often unkind when going against the grain of what is new or different; and easier for us to conform to society’s criticism or rules laid out before us that are vague, may no longer apply, or even maintain unintended interpretation. It is only with courage, self-confidence, dedication and a true understanding of the law for representation to take your valued event and make it their own. It is through the last 20 months that I am happy and relieved to have found Justin Nichols to take on this case on my son’s behalf; and lead it all the way to the Eastern District Court. He would not be bullied by an entire team of attorneys in or out of court, and he made sure we were all prepared. When it came to discussing the facts of the case, he knew them inside and out. This is all to often not the typical experience when it comes to a third party interpretation of events and usually only reserved for Emmy nominations from a movie. It is no secret that it takes a lot in this day and age to impress me; much less as a parent put my trust in someone who has control over my son’s future. I am so glad I did and allowed myself to take it as far as Justin said he was willing to go. I would like to take credit in finding a hidden gem amongst a pile of rocks; but Justin’s shine is bright and already been seen by many. I would not recommend any one else and so happy and relieved I was connected with him. Aaron Vann Vs. Plano Independent School District

Same Sex, Domestic Partner, Divorce=Success!!

I came to Mr. Nichols in Feb of 2019, after a Spouse of mine for 26 years decided He needed to move on with somone we met while we were on Vacation in 2017. A long story shortened, I either wanted to negotiate a Settlement, or a Divorce I was not sure at the time what was even possible. I was facing ...Major Surgery, and serious health issues, concerns. The Pandemic began delays beyond our control, and well 3 years later, dozens of appearances in person in Court, and on Zoom. Justin was able Win all my Court apprarances. My now my X Spouse was on his 4th Atty. He wanted to drag me through Court, Drain my Finances, and hopefully win in Court because this type of case has never been on Trial or Won. This is New Territory for the Courts and Bexar County, especially Texas and many parts of our United States. I will say from personal experiance. If you want a Professional, Caring, and Highly Intelligent, Skilled Attorney for your case Justin Nichols comes Highly recommended by me. Justin with go over and beyond to make sure Justice prevails. Thank you, Justin

Review

If I could give a score above 10, Mr. Nichols and his team would get a 10+. I had a 1:00 appt. w/him and told him my situation. He asked if I could wait a bit. He came back to the lobby and said "We have a 4:00 appt. with the Judge today." From that day on until the very last day I couldn't be more ...satisfied with The Nichols Law Firm. Everyone was sincere, kind, compassionate, persistent and kept me up to date. Mr. Nichols is fearless, knowledgeable and never "backed down". He's a warrior. He kept fighting until he came up with the solutions necessary. Finally, Case was over and done in my favor. No one could ask for anything better than The Nichols Law Firm.

VERY GOOD!!

Excellent lawyer, with a lot of knowledge and even more fight!

I hired Justin after my initial settlement became unacceptable and untenable. I wished I had him the whole way. He was extremely knowledgeable, transparent, and motivated. He was the first lawyer I had that actually listened to me and gave me options instead of excuses or reasons why not to. He took ...my case that other Lawyers didn’t think would go anywhere and ran with it. When things turned south, he rolled with the punches and tirelessly fought for me and my children to refute false allegation after false allegation. He never backed down from a challenge and fought for me and my children. He got us in front of a judge and made more progress in 6 months than my previous two lawyers were able to in the 2 years of divorce proceedings. In the end he successfully helped me do the impossible…prove a negative, gain time with my children that my ex was trying to deny, and getting the judge to hold my ex accountable for abhorrent behavior. In fact, we got more than we hoped for including legal fees. He was worth every penny, a genuine great human being and fantastic lawyer. I know it’s cliche but by the time we were down we saw Justin less as a lawyer and more as a trusted friend, confidant, and ferocious advocate.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"It is my pleasure to endorse attorney Justin Nichols. I worked with him on tough divorce case and he proved to be the consummate professional. It was clear to me throughout the case that he is smart, well-prepared and fights hard for his client's objectives, yet does so in a manner that doesn't create conflict with opposing counsel that only makes it harder to move the case forward. Anyone looking for a high-caliber attorney would do well to discuss their case with Justin Nichols before making a decision on who to hire."

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I am an attorney-mediator in the DFW area and recently had the opportunity to mediate a divorce case for Justin. I was very impressed with his advocacy skills, preparation, knowledge of the law, and true compassion for his client. Divorces are difficult on their best day, and mediations are extremely emotional for the parties. Justin was able to balance being a strong advocate for his client while also being realistic and empathetic for his client's needs. I enjoyed working with Justin and hope to have the opportunity to mediate for him again."
