The BEST, My Attorney for life if another need arises!

After beginning my divorce proceeding with another Attorney, I found myself frustrated with the lack of communication and service. A friend referred Justin Nichols and everything changed for the better. I had a consultation and felt instantly that I had come to the right place. He handled my divor...ce proceedings in a way that took so much stress and pressure off my shoulders. Justin explained the legal process, what to expect moving forward and eased my worries and gave me the confidence and assurance that I was missing. He ALLOWED me to ask all the questions I was hesitant about, LISTENED to my wants, and ASSURED me the legal process would protect me. He also also explained his billing procedures and fully understood how I would be charged BEFORE I left the consultation. With finances being important to me, I was pleasantly surprised that the billing was ON POINT. 100% fair, detailed invoices so it was easy for me to keep up with where retainer was being applied. His Paralegal, Kimberly, has a heart of gold like him, is compassionate, and was always quick to respond to calls or emails with the answers I needed. My Attorney for life, should another need ever arise.

NOT your average "BOILERPLATE" attorney...

Writing this review is difficult. On one hand, I want everyone to know about my legal representation/experience with Justin Nichols as my attorney. On the other hand, I don't want anyone to know my secret. It's like finding a great painter or plumber. If you tell others about him/her, suddenly you fi...nd yourself in line behind these same people when you need assistance! Nonetheless, I understand legal troubles can be VERY stressful and because I feel forever indebted to this attorney, I want to share my experience. I hope this review helps someone in need find a great attorney. Justin Nichols recently represented me in several, highly contested, and stressful POST-divorce proceedings. I had hired a different attorney in my original divorce - a well known, large law firm. Although, I respected their overall representation, I was left with a feeling not of victory, but of defeat. My bill was 10's of 1000's of dollars, I felt like just another client pushed through the cattle line, not really heard and then sent a bill to pay. The old adage, "the only person who wins is the attorney"...was profoundly felt. This year, a few years after my original divorce, I found myself in the position to answer a POST- divorce subpoena, hiring an attorney was a necessity, AND going back to my original attorney was not an option, especially a financial one. I decided this time would be different than the last time I hired a firm. This time, I wanted to play a pivotal role in the outcome and overall process/success. After numerous interviews with other attorneys, I met and interviewed Justin Nichols. I was immediately impressed by Justin and his staff. He was open, down to earth and honest. He came across as intelligent, kind, savvy, and his sincerity is what set him apart from other lawyers. I was sold. The beginning of our relationship was mixed with my lack of trust in the process (especially for attorneys, the fear that once again, I wouldn't be "heard"), and my incessant need to control the situation (my pivotal role), :) not to mention, my desire for some sort of justice. I was consumed with finding answers and trying to understand the Rules of Texas Family Law, court room procedures, legal terminology, I wanted a bullet-proof strategy. I learned the meaning of "BOILERPLATE" language, and memorized family law rules. I was beyond ignorant and annoying. It was a serious burden coupled with my emotions and stress in just being in a legal situation. Justin methodically took my control issues away, put me in my place, convinced me to TRUST him and then DROVE THE TRAIN, and thank God he did. The way he maneuvered himself with me with ease and finesse, he did so with our opposition, in and out of the courtroom. He listened to me and remembered significant yet small details of information I had mentioned, I definitely felt "heard". Whatever the opposition threw at us, Justin would step up, and knock it out of the park. It was ANYTHING but "boilerplate". He was smart and quick and true and kind, he was overly prepared and presented himself well. At one point, in the courtroom, I was at such PEACE...wondering why I even doubted him in the first place. Of course we experienced a few hiccups along the way, that seems to be part of the legal process, but it ended in a HUGE victory! I wish I had hired him a long time ago, Justin Nichols truly was the difference in the process and especially my success!!

Family Law LGBTQ matters

Hired Justin to help me separate our family after 25 years. We just started and I feel confident in his abilities to handle this complicated separation of assets and everything it involves, he took the time to discuss all of my concerns and needs for each step and how to make the law work for us. I... am looking forward to ending this phase of my life with a new beginning that I know Justin will make possible.

"It is my pleasure to endorse attorney Justin Nichols. I worked with him on tough divorce case and he proved to be the consummate professional. It was clear to me throughout the case that he is smart, well-prepared and fights hard for his client's objectives, yet does so in a manner that doesn't create conflict with opposing counsel that only makes it harder to move the case forward. Anyone looking for a high-caliber attorney would do well to discuss their case with Justin Nichols before making a decision on who to hire."

"I am an attorney-mediator in the DFW area and recently had the opportunity to mediate a divorce case for Justin. I was very impressed with his advocacy skills, preparation, knowledge of the law, and true compassion for his client. Divorces are difficult on their best day, and mediations are extremely emotional for the parties. Justin was able to balance being a strong advocate for his client while also being realistic and empathetic for his client's needs. I enjoyed working with Justin and hope to have the opportunity to mediate for him again."
