Diane Martinez was appointed Amicus on my case. I provided several concerns to her with several alarming pictures. She did absolutely nothing about it and even actually recommended the other party as a great parent for Primary Custody. Well Five years later my daughter was severely abused by the othe...r party she highly recommended as Primary Custodian, and is now indicted on Child Abuse charges awaiting trial. The physical/emotional abuse my daughter suffered all because this lady only cares about money/politics! Thank God my daughter didn't die or commit suicide!!!!! She should not ever be allowed to be an Amicus!

I sought her out and hired her after her willing to take on my case because she helped my male childhood friend win his child custody case. Her paralegal at the time was very responsive by e-mail and Mrs. Martinez cared about my case. She was aggressive in court and on my side till the end. She had e...mpathy for me and my situation. She may be busy because she is handling the Amicus side of things. She obviously cares about children and cares about justice and what’s fair. She can see through the bs of any oppossing ill-willed party. She saw that I am the Victim and sees the injustice in my situation. Keep up and stay focused in life and she will represent you. You get what you pay for and she isn’t cheap but it is the kind of affordable that makes it possible for you to save if you just keep working hard. Even if you’re depressed and slow down, she will point you in the right direction and connect you during or after your depression. She won’t leave you in the dust. She is a rarity. Initial meeting went very well and the children were very optimistic that they would get the help needed in order to repair broken relationships with a parent. The initial meeting went great and for the first time in a long time, there was hope that things were moving forward, there would be account...ability and they would have their parent back. Fast forward less than 8 weeks, our children's home was torn upside down and it spiraled from there. The emotional impact and complete lack of faith in "in the best interest of the children" is incredibly unfortunate. The relationship with the other parent is still yet to be repaired and unfortunately, may never be due to the lack of quick reactions rather than appropriate due diligence confirming and verifying "facts" before tearing a home apart.

Diane assurred me should would take care of custody issue after had sole custody of my son for 10 years and got sued by grandparents once the child's father wss arrested for unpaid support. Diane was completely unprepared, absolutely no match for the other attorney, and failed to file an appeal after... the presiding judge made orders although there was not agreement by both parties. Still tied up in court 3 years later as a result of the poor manner Diane handled case initially. Could not get calls returned, did not file documents timely and kept entire retainer after first hearing and firing her to retain someone else. If your not willing to risk your money, custodial situation and rights on Diane, go somewhere else.

She helped me gain joint custody of my son. She was always on point with my case. She has always and I means always ready for whatever drama, excuses, and just plain ignorance my ex husband tried to give to delay my custody case. She is a special gem. She is more than an lawyer she's an advocate for ...the best interest of the unfortunate victim the children or child involved.
