Orlando is experienced, sharp and moves quick

My ex-wife gave me an extremely contentious divorce through constant harassment, stalking, false allegations, false police reports and defamation. Orlando and his experienced team were able to quickly stop her harassment and also get my divorced filed and finalized in less than 120 days. Their client... care and response time to calls/emails is excellent. If you have a contested divorce with assets Orlando is your best advocate in family court.

I was living in hotels and not getting any where with my protective orders, Orlando got them taken care of within days after hiring him. His staff are professional and helpful through this entire process and continue to be patient with me during this time. Orlando Genuinely cares about you and giv...es you the best advice moving forward. And his wife Lorena is awesome to work with. I would defiantly recommend Orlando Kell to anyone going through a difficult divorce

Awesome Person!

Mr. Kell kindly took time out of his schedule to answer a question I had posted on the website. It was very informative and valuable information! Upon further inquiring, Mr. Kell continued to make himself available to provide me with the tools and resources that I needed....AND, he did so out of th...e kindness of his heart! In my opinion, this makes him a very personable and caring individual - as well as a great attorney. If he was a local attorney here in the Dallas area - I'd hire him in a heartbeat! He is the epitome of authenticity and kindness.

Dropped the Ball

Orlando represented my family in a jury trial in 2015. We won a unanimous decision, however Mr. Kell completely dropped the ball after the trial. We went back and forth to court 7 or 8 more times after the trial. The new custody decree did not get signed for 9 more months. We specifically asked Mr.... Kell to write language in the decree that was very detailed. He allowed the entire decree to be manipulated by opposing counsel. With a win, he allowed opposing counsel to insert 50/50 rights and decisions and that all decisions were based on the approval of the other parent. Mr. Kell knew that the ex spouse was abusive. Today, 5 months after signing a new decree that took over 3 years to reach, we are back in court and being sued for vagueness in the decree. We are tens of thousands of dollars in debt with nothing resolved. Do NOT hire Mr. Kell if you are looking to keep your family intact.

Dad sued us for primary custody (prior orders were 50/50 possession). - we won a unanimous jury verdict. Had Dad had his way in trial - we would've lost the children to New Braunfels, we would've had to pay child support and medical support, and our visitation would have been reduced to standard. But again, we won. Dad then tried to get 50/50 visitation if he moved back - we got that shot down. We got his child support increased significantly, and got it back dated several months. Many, many details regarding sharing of expenses, selection of extracurricular activities, usage of medical care providers, and selection & usage of after school care were fought for over multiple hearings - and we won on all those issues. We had so many hearings and the order took so long to sign because we fought EVERY STEP of the way for EVERY detail. Had I not fought so hard for every detail you instructed me to fight for - the orders would've been signed a year prior. Unfortunately, in family law, you can't stop an ex from continuing to sue, continuing to try to get things changed, etc. And in Texas, it's nearly impossible to strip a parent away from basic visitation and decision-making rights. That's what you wanted and that was an impossible task in your case. I wish I had that power - but no attorney does. But I am at peace with knowing the truth in this case, and in knowing I did outstanding 5 star work.

Horrible lawyer

I hired orlando kell for a child custody issue. When I first meet him he was very knowledgeable about my case and issues we might come across. He gave me his rates and he told me his staff and himself do not have time to charge for emails or phone calls so it was only going to be the retainer and the... hourly when he shows up to represent me in court. On the day of the court day he showed up and he was a close friend to the other attorney. The way I knew was because he was talking about how his wife was about to have his first child and he invited him to the baby shower etc.. When I was in front of the judge he agreed with everything the other attorney said and left me on losing my case to move with my child to another location. Well since then he made my file a complete mess he never updated me or called me about my case. I have been trying to fix my case since he messed it all up by hiring a more aggressive and knowledgeable lawyer. I do not recommend him to no one. He will charge .20 cents an email and 1.00 a min for each call you make to speak to him. I only give this lawyer one star for showing up the day of the court.

I am sorry you were not happy with my services - but the facts and circumstances you cited could simply not be true. I do not ever agree with what the other side tells a judge unless it's also per what my client wants. I never let files become a "complete mess," and I do not charge 20 cents an email or $1 a phone call minute. I'd be happy to discuss your issues at my office in person if you'd like. Thank you.
