Earned my trust.

I remember being arrested on a Sunday. It was a somewhat traumatizing experience for me. I felt violated. I arrived home that night and my sibling Googled attorneys. She found Mr.Gransee. We chose to come see him because he was voted one of San Antonio’s best criminal defense attorneys several year...s in a row. We did plan to meet with other lawyers. The next day following the arrest, my sibling and I went to his office without an appointment. He was gracious enough to meet with us during his lunch hour. When you feel vulnerable it is hard to trust anyone. I had many pre-conceived notions about attorneys. He was smart, articulate, experienced, well dressed, and very knowledgeable about the subject matter. He was straightforward, direct. I had a good feeling about him, so I hired him. However, I was skeptical. I walked out of there, thinking this is my future and life. I can’t just hire someone on intuition. I knew if I was going to change lawyers, I needed to do it quickly. I began my own research. I read many excerpts, and a book on “How to hire a criminal defense lawyer”. I compared the flyers that came in the mail. I researched several lawyers in the city. Mr.Gransee was still top three on my list. During this time my colleague hired one of the other two lawyers on my top three list. Every week my colleague is left frustrated because it is difficult to get her phone calls returned. Mr.Gransee and his secretary Elsa were always friendly and professional. I appreciated the fact that Elsa was bilingual. He and Elsa always answered my questions, even the most minute in a timely manner. My court date arrived, I wondered if Mr.Gransee and the prosecutor were friends, and if so, would that affect how he handled my case. Whether or not he would try and bargain. He was my Advocate that day. I couldn’t think or speak clearly. Thankfully he was always calm and in control, able to decipher quickly. He handles himself with confidence and poise in the court room. I watched as he told the prosecutor we weren’t going to bargain. That was the day he earned my trust. He kept it, simply by being honest, and consistent. My case was dismissed in 4 months. I learned a lot from this experience, and from Mr.Gransee. He obliterated any pre-conceived notions I had about attorneys. In turn, I found a new respect for the profession, especially CDAs. It’s a tough job, and I’m grateful they’re people like him, who do it well. I recommend Mr.Gransee as an attorney. He is intelligent, has a high moral and ethical character. He is also compassionate, however; not to be mistaken with not being aggressive or able to fight and defend you. His office is located downtown in the Tower Life Building. Free parking available there for his clients or potential clients. No need to drive around looking for paid parking. It is near the court house.

Making an ordeal manageable

I hired Kurt to be my counsel for a DWI charge last year which he got dismissed for me. He did a terrific job and would highly recommend his services for any one in a similar predicament. He offered a very manageable payment plan and was willing to adjust it for me after I got diagnosed with Lympho...ma. I am impressed with his poise, ability and knowledge of the courts in which he practices. My experience with his offices were professional, but compassionate. He and his secretary Elsa kept me constantly informed on the particulars of my case. Kurt made himself available any time and always explained matters in a way I could understand. I am eternally grateful for the excellent and affordable service that Kurt and Elsa provide and I am more than willing to recommend them to anyone.

Mr. Gransee is an amazing lawyer.

Amazing! Mr. Kurt Gransee pulled off an unheard-of miracle! This came right at a point in my life where the last nine months had been an emotional battle, making the commitment to stay sober and turning my life back around for the better. Here’s my brief background. I had a possession charge that... was in a deferred status for several years pending my successful completion of probation conditions. However, I ended up on the streets homeless with an “MTR” (motion to revoke) on my probation for failure to report. I finally turned myself in. My family loaned me the money to hire Mr. Gransee to help with my defense, and his fees were very reasonable. Once I went to court, Mr. Gransee went to bat for me, and with his representation I received an extension of my probation instead of spending several years in jail. I started the long process of reconnecting with family, getting off the streets, cleaning myself up and finally working and actually getting back into society as a good citizen. I was meeting with the probation officer, performing community service, providing urinalysis tests (U.A.s), performing community service, and making payments to the best of my ability. My probation was revoked again (MTR), as there was a miscommunication on the date of a UA. I contacted Mr. Gransee again and advised him of my situation. Mr. Gransee was in complete contact with me and my family on a frequent basis while incarcerated. He promptly argued for a reasonably priced bond approved by the Judge and guided me through the process. He precisely told me what to expect, and what to do. Well guess what… Amazing Grace!! I walk into the court room on my court date with my parents by my side, and out walks Mr. Gransee, semi smile on his face telling me “your finished, your done, you will be able to go on home and go about your life”. I’m in SHOCK! Surely this can’t true. I couldn’t believe it, Mr. Gransee pulled off a billion to one odds. He got me completely finished with probation. So here I’m thinking I’m going “away”, but no, he didn’t just get the charge of MTR dropped again, but he put an end to this horrific probation I have been on forever. This means no more appointments, no more payments, U.A’s., etc. He was my hero and still is. You couldn’t ask for a better, law-savvy lawyer. He is the very best and I vouch for his effectiveness!

"I have known Kurt since our early days in Law School. First and foremost Kurt is an extremely intelligent individual with very deep understanding and appreciation for the laws of our state and country. Kurt knows exactly how to apply the law to the maximum benefits of his many clients. In the court room, Kurt is like a BULLDOG! He simply won't let go of any opportunity to further his client's case and interests! If I were put into a fox hole in enemy territory and told that I could pick only one person to be in there with me, my choice would be Kurt Gransee.
