He served in the United States Air Force retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in July 1993 and established his practice in San Antonio, Texas in 1993 where he has developed an expertise in the areas of military and federal civilian personnel as well as military family law. In addition to having been admitted to practice in Texas in 1980, he is also admitted to practice in the Federal District Courts, Western District of Texas, the US Court of Federal Claims, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
