Jason Wheeler Barger

I had my consultation with Mr. Barger to discuss the case and cost. At that time he told me the retainer would be $4,000. I asked if that would be the final total and he said, if anything, maybe $200/$300 more to file the order. We went to court 10/2020 to finalize child custody/child support orders.... In 11/2020 I was hit with another invoice. We are now in 10/2023, I have paid around $9,500 in fees, and my orders still have not been finalized. Every time I call, I get the runaround and get told someone will call me back, but no one does. I am now in the process of filing a grievance

I’ve never met Mr. Barger, he did my consultation by phone last minute after his secretary called me to say he wanted to reschedule because he was sick. So we consulted by phone and he mailed me his contract, I deposited his full retainer and pre-paid for consultation. Then by Gods Grace my wife and ...I worked things out and decided to stop the process. Our case never went to court, they billed me twice because instead of printing the non-fillable pdf file they said they needed I wrote the information on lined paper, scanned it and posted it to their website. When I told them I no longer needed their services I was then notified that I would have to wait 30 days for my refund, today is day 42 of waiting for my refund. While I was told by my wife that her attorney wasn’t looking forward to facing Mr. Barger, I can’t recommend him.
