also known as Jay Granberry
Being charged with a criminal offense is a significant event in anyone's life. The government is accusing you of wrongdoing and is often prepared to take away your liberty. When confronted by government accusations you need someone with experience to defend your rights. Jay Granberry is the attorney with the right experience.
A 1989 graduate of Texas Tech University, Jay worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., before entering the Baylor University School of Law. Since his law school graduation in 1993, Jay has spent the vast majority of his legal career in the courtroom prosecuting criminal offenses. In his well over 100 jury trials, Jay successfully prosecuted all types of cases from DWI's and drug possession to the more complicated and emotional cases for the Brazos County District Attorney's office in sexual assaults, murders and capital murders.
Now Jay Granberry brings that hard-won experience and expertise to bear for the benefit of his clients. His clients find him to be hard-working, accessible and aggressive.
"The state must meet a high burden of proof in a criminal case precisely because of what is at stake: the liberty of a citizen. My role is to defend and protect the accused, and to hold the state to their burden and to the rules of justice." - Jay Granberry
Criminal defense attorney Jay Granberry is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas to practice in Texas state courts. In addition to his criminal defense practice, Jay taught business law classes at Blinn College. He and his Aggie wife have three children.
Jay Granberry, founding attorney of The Law Office of Jay Granberry, is a criminal defense specialist, Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, practicing in Bryan and throughout Brazos County. Attorney Granberry earned his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and his law degree from Baylor University School of Law. He spent the first 10 years of his legal career as a state prosecutor, gaining valuable insight into how the State builds a case. For 11 years after that, he was a partner in a private firm, and now he leads his own practice. Attorney Granberry has a great reputation with clients, thanks to his genuine desire to help and his commitment to fighting for the best possible outcome.

They had a retired very strict judge sitting on the bench especially for me. He overruled almost all of the objections a...
