William James Strong-Ott

I am currently an Associate Attorney at C.E. Borman & Associates in Bryan, Texas. Prior to beginning this position, I worked at Lone Star Legal Aid litigating primarily family and property law cases. I have participated in extended litigation cases, which required multiple hearings and court appearances. I have experience filing, amending, and arguing motions, conducting discovery, attending mediation, and taking cases to final trial. I have appeared before magistrates, county courts, and district courts. Prior to my time at Lone Star Legal Aid, I worked as a compliance officer for a federally qualified health clinic. In that position, I gained extensive experience with medical privacy laws. Additionally, I spearheaded the clinic’s risk management program and compliance programs. Working with the administrative team, I generated numerous policies and procedures for the clinic and prepared the clinic for an extensive federal audit. During law school at Texas Tech University, I published an article in the estate planning law journal and participated in a criminal defense clinic. During the summer following my 1L year, I clerked for Justice Phil Johnson of the Texas Supreme Court. Prior to law school I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with bachelors degrees in history and philosophy.
