I have hired Mrs. Borman a few times now in a divorce battle, custody battle and a modification battle. She is absolutely wonderful. I love her honesty and straightforwardness. She will not beat around the bush and I greatly appreciate that about her. She has had all rulings in my favor so far. She is a very hardworking attorney who will fight until the end for you. Her staff is amazing as well. They are very kind, caring and compassionate.
Channa was amazing and helped me "win" what I wanted in my divorce/child custody case. Then again when my ex took me to court a year later because he wasn't getting his way.
“Custody” is called “conservatorship” in Texas. There are two types of conservatorships ─ sole conservatorship, where one parent has all the child care rights and duties and joint conservatorship, where both parents share in child care rights and duties.
“To contest” means to argue against. When you and your spouse disagree on terms for property division, child custody, visitation, child support or alimony, your divorce is contested.
An attorney who is honest with you about your case and helps you stay focused on what is important eliminates a lot of the confusion people experience with divorce and family law matters. In divorce and family law issues, emotions generally run high, which makes dealing with the legal process even more complicated. A competent and experienced lawyer with a straightforward approach can save you headaches, time and money. At C.E. Borman & Associates, this is what we mean by straight talk and hones
Texas law requires non-custodial parents to pay child support and has guidelines for calculating payments. A simple explanation of how to calculate child support is: parent’s net income multiplied by a percentage. The percentage is based on the number of children being supported. For example, the percentage for supporting one child is 20%, for two children 25%, for three children 30% and so on. Net income is your gross income minus federal income taxes, Social Security taxes, union dues and hea

There isn't anything she can't do!
I consulted with Channa on several different occassions regarding different matters each time. She has always given me the perfect advice and let me know up front that if I wanted to pursue a certain matter, it would be very tough to obtain a ruling in my favor. I believe she said I would have been facing an issue with standing. Regardless, she has always been extremely honest and forthcoming with me whether I wanted to hear it or not. She's the only attorney I'll ever hire.

Custody- grandparent
My case was a difficult case. I am the maternial grandmother, I was seeking custody of my grandson after the death of my daughter. The whole experience from beginning to end was very emotional. Channa and the staff at C.E. Boreman, took their time to explain every option available, answering all my questions, and did so with up front honesty. The compassion and comfort I recieved was exceptional. A favorable decision was met in my custody case. I am so thankful that the most stressful time of my life was made easier because I had Channa Boreman and her dedicated staff by my side.

Very good, professional lawyer. Great with family law
I found her to be very professional. She alway's returned phone calls and made herself available even after hours when she was needed. She actually "saved the day" when the lawyer we were originally working with did not follow through with court orders. I would without hesitation use her again if the need ever arises.

Channa Borman
Never returned phone calls. Never in office when we called. Was unable to speak with her at any time during the last 90 days before hearing. Cancelled scheduled conference calls, and then failed to be available for rescheduled calls. Receptionists rude and ill informed. Never reduced a mediated settlement to a court order and then was unenforceable. Had to hire another attorney to renegotiate settlement when the other party sued due to the unenforceability of the one she negotiated.
