Board certified and AV rated attorney with a statewide civil litigation firm. Represent clients in first and third party insurance defense cases and in labor and employment matters. Work on all aspects of cases including pre and post-suit development, trial, appeal, and administrative proceedings. Possess first chair trial experience in employment and insurance cases (first and third party) with defense verdicts in each of those areas.

Employment law practice includes defense of litigated cases (including cases brought under the ADA, ADEA, ERISA, FMLA, Title VII, and the Texas Labor Code), representation in workers' compensation matters (including retaliation claims), advising clients and providing counsel on labor and employment issues, (including discharge or discipline of employees, labor relations issues, and grievances), and drafting materials for clients related to labor and employment law (including employment manuals, contracts, non-competition agreements and other documents). Also represent employers in administrative proceedings before the EEOC, the Texas Workforce Commission, the Texas Commission on Human Rights, and the Texas Workers' Compensation Commission.

Insurance work includes all facets of first and third party practice. First party practice includes litigating cases involving property, commercial, and automobile policies, drafting coverage opinions, coverage litigation, (including initiation of declaratory judgment actions), and providing legal guidance with claim investigation – particularly in fire and suspicious loss cases (including examinations under oath). Have provided legal representation in over 500 hurricane lawsuits, including those arising from Hurricanes Rita, Humberto, and Ike. Third party practice includes defense of constitutional tort claims, automobile and tractor trailer accidents, construction site accidents, (including accidents involving cranes, scaffolding, and heavy equipment), premises liability claims, and product liability cases.
