Specifically, an employee of the dealership contacted ... an Allstate agent to determine whether a potential customer was insured under an Allstate policy. The agent (believing that the dealership employee was referring to the customer’s parents) informed the dealership employee that the vehicle would be covered under an Allstate policy. The customer then totaled the vehicle and Allstate denied a claim submitted by the dealership. The Court ruled in favor of Allstate Insurance Company.
OUTCOME: The jury only awarded past medical expenses and allocated 30% responsibility to one of the Plaintiffs.
