also known as BRYAN E. MCEACHERN P.C., D/B/A MCEACHERN LAW FIRM
I am a life-long resident of southeast Texas, a graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School and Lamar University - Beaumont. I am married to Tara Wolfe McEachern and we have five children.
After a half-decade in private practice in southeast Texas, I was honored to serve the next four and one-half years as an Assistant Attorney General for the Texas Child Support Division in their Woodville and Nederland offices.
I returned to private practice in December of 2013, to focus primarily in the legal areas of family, divorces, child custody and child support serving Jefferson County, Texas and surrounding counties.
In August of 2022, I accepted an invitation to join the well-established firm, Wells, Peyton, Partain, Baldo & Lighty, L.L.P. in Beaumont and, after an almost 3- year stint, I returned to private practice exclusively in the area of family law as the "McEachern Law Firm" in May of 2025.
My mission is for clients to trust me with their legal issues by offering them competent legal advice, just like I would seek if I were in their shoes seeking guidance with a legal issue. I want to change the way people think about attorneys. I'm not just interested in obtaining clients for the present, I seek to earn clients' trust and respect so they return to me in the future for all their future legal issues. I don't want my clients to have any regrets or reservations concerning their case. I will counsel my clients on their available options and possible outcomes so that clients can make an informed decision on how to proceed on their cases. Sometimes the client's decision on a case will not be the most profitable to me, but being a true professional involves the ability to put the client's interest above my own.

I hate to give one star! HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MOVE YOUR OFFICE!? HOW LONG ARE YOU GOING TO USE THAT EXCUSE FOR NOT DOING THE JOB YOU WERE PAID TO DO! YOU NEED TO BE DISBARRED! He is completely unresponsive to emails and phone calls. He does not try to settle your case. He lies and tells you t...

He was short, rude as his secretary was too. I’ just recently loss my son and all he could say is you need help are you seeing a psychiatrist?? Then said “I don’t take payment plans, I AM in a position where I don’t have too. Which tells me he’s not a attorney who cares, just about the money!!
Laura, thank you for the review; however, I must offer my response fairly and accordingly to the facts and allegations stated in your review. First, I was not short with you, as you had a 3:30 p.m. appointment and did not arrive at my office until 4:15 p.m., after being coached-in turn-by-turn over the phone by my "secretary," until you were able to locate my office. Even after arriving 45 minutes late, you were then provided a FREE 45-minute consultation with me to evaluate your case. Secondly, I am saddened to learn of the loss of your son a year ago, but I don't see where my showing concern, inquiring about your mental wellbeing, and asking how you are holding up is deserving of a 1-star review. Thirdly, although your deceased son was a part of our discussion, your review inaccurately states that "ALL [I] could say is you need help are you seeing a psychiatrist..." while actually, we spent the majority of the 45-minute consultation discussing the facts of your pending lawsuit, I looked-up your case on the county database, read and tracked all of the legal action that had taken place over the last 4-5 YEARS by your previous 2 attorneys, and we discussed (1) the status of your case, (2) your expectations with your case, (3) available options, and (4) likely / possible outcomes. Fourthly, my "rude" "secretary" spent approximately 15 minutes with you on the phone, prior to your making the appointment, discussing various topics, such as (1) my normal fee arrangement, (2) my customary, initial trust deposit ("retainer") for cases such as yours, (3) that I do not offer "payment plans," and (4) sharing thoughts and feelings of the unfortunate experience of losing a child, as my "secretary" (actually paralegal) also lost her own child several years ago, who was 14 years of age, when she passed. Finally, on the first day of law school, my first professor told us that if we were attending law school to be wealthy, we needed to get up and walk out, because the profession of law, while financially rewarding, must be primarily driven by the desire to help others. My paralegal, Pam, and I do deeply care about our clients, and I bet that for every 1 comment, such as yours, implying that "we don't care," I have a hundred other clients who would vouch for me and state otherwise. Make no mistake, I am in this business to make money and support my family, but please do not accuse me of not caring because I am not willing to honor the payment arrangement you proposed, even after being advised in advance, over the phone by Pam, that I did not accept payment plans. Further, my job as a lawyer is to provide legal guidance to clients, which sometimes is telling them what they don't want to hear. I evaluated your case and provided you with my legal opinion and suggested course of action, which is what I am supposed to do. Just because you don't like what my legal opinion is DOES NOT JUSTIFY A 1-STAR REVIEW. I sincerely wish you the best of luck finding the attorney who is the right fit for you to finalize your legal matter.

Very unprofessional. RED FLAG!!!!---take my advice. I could write a whole page as to why but lets just say--he did not spend a minute on my case and did not fight for me! --I should of known when his RUDE secretary did not care--and when I had to call daily and email and beg for me to come drop stuff...
I am shocked by this review. While I do not necessarily agree with the Court's adverse ruling against my client in this case, said ruling was not due to my lack of preparation, my professionalism, nor my care or concern for my client. I do care what happens in ALL of my client's cases. In fact, I am still disappointed with the Judge's ruling in this case, just as I am disappointed in reading this client review, which I feel is unjustified and unwarranted. Attorneys cannot change the facts of their cases, cannot "undo" prior actions of their clients, and cannot select which judge hears the case. It is simply too easy to blame the results on the attorney, but my professionalism, diligence, and caring interest is not to blame for the results of this case.

I hired Brian Mceachern to represent me with my case to switch to the custodial parent for my daughter. He did a great job and I highly recommend his law firm. Very reasonable price as well.

My attorney helped me get through a very devastating divorce. He represented me well and my children and I got everything we requested. He was also very understanding and respectful.
"Mr. McEachern is an excellent advocate for his clients. I would not hesitate to recommend him to a client in need. He is also an asset to the Avvo Community, providing invaluable resources to those seeking help."
"I endorse this lawyer. Thoughtful and aggressive. There is not a better family lawyer in the area."
"I endorse this lawyer. Bryan is a tough advocate for his clients while remaining respected as "one of the good guys"."
"Bryan McEachern is well-qualified and extremely professional. I have had the pleasure of working with him on several matters and have also had cases on which he was opposing counsel. He is well-respected in the local legal community, and it is my pleasure to endorse him."
