This lawyer sweet talks you and makes you think he is on your side. My husband went with him because he was cheap, which we were a little doubtful with at first. Due to his convincing and explaining why we should go with him, we chose him. This was a big mistake. In his sales pitch he stated "MY PHON...E IS BY MY SIDE 24/7, I WILL RESPOND TO EVERY MESSAGE AND CALL. IF I DON'T THAT MEANS I'M EITHER DEAD OR SOMETHING HAPPENED". Right when we hired him and paid him he started to change, he didn't answer phone calls or texts which he stated he would. No updates on the case. We were done paying him by the second court appearance, that's how cheap his service was. As a minority( African American male) James Padgett used stereotypical references such as "My Brotha" to connect with my husband, that's one of his strategies I believe to make us think he is on our side. My husband ended up firing him !

I have hired mr. Padgett on seperate occasions and have been pleased every time. He has reasonable prices and will work with you. He will not give you the run around about your case he will tell you like it is and get you the best possible outcome of your situation. If you need an attorney this is yo...ur man.

Let me warn you now, do not hire this lawyer!! Like the other review said, he takes your money and does nothing for you! I got a advertisement letter from him so decided to go with him after our initial phone consultation. He was so nice and thorough during consultation which made me believe i mad...e the right choice! Boy was I wrong!!!! It all goes downhill after you pay him off. He does not respond to my numerous emails, calls, voicemails!! His responsiveness is zero!!! He doesn't call you to followup before scheduled court date or call to keep you posted on case. I'm not the type of person to write reviews but I am so stressed out with this lawyer and would hate for anyone to have to go through this mess. I definitely wouldn't have hired him if i saw the review that was on here previously.
