Divorce and Child Custody Case

Wonderful, extremely helpful, handled my difficult case with ease. Was patient with my family who was involved frequently, kept me updated on the process and well informed. I will continue to recommend him.

NOT A GOOD REVIEW

This lawyer was hired by my family to compile end-of-life documents such as will. Starting off, he was extremely late to our family meeting. He refused to discuss relevent details with the family in the family meeting. There were claims made that he was close acquaintances of certain family member...s, who I found out later, did not know him at all. I felt he was manipulative to the benefit of a family member who had been his long-time client and who did actually know him previously. He failed to follow through with specific requests of my dying family member and claimed not to recall an entire discussion on said requests. There were major delays in addressing this, and I had to threaten to find another lawyer, before they were addressed. I felt that certain aspects of his advice were faulty and I could strongly argue that it was not legitimate legal advice. I have written a report that I am considering presenting to the state bar association. As I understand it, there is a four-year statute of limitations to file this complaint. I am so overwhelmed by the resulting issues that have arisen since the death of my family member and due to faulty advice, that I do not have time to file the complaint yet. My experience with this attorney has been totally negative. The only thing positive I can bring myself to write is that, he presents himself to be pleasent and comes across at first as harmless.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
