Jessica Pantoja-Adams

I hired Mrs. Adams to represent me on two cases one of which is a divorce.  When i hired Mrs.  Adams i set specific expecations to address my needs and requirments,  she has yet to address a single one of those concerns.  I made repeated request for motions for time sensitive temporary orders that i ...understand could have been addressed without mediation via an emergency motion but was constantly told that she would file after mediation.  It has now been more than two months since mediation and not only has she failed to file the motions she promised she would she will not return my calls or emails.  I am now two momths away from my final hearing and she has yet to file for a psychological evaluation that takes 8 months to complete. I am extremely concerned the judge will not allow for these evaluations to take place because they can not be compelted in a timely manner.  Mrs. Adams has also almost filed a motion that included language that would have severly harmed my case.  I have asked her questions to help me gage if she has an accurate understanding of my case and it seems she does not and got offended that i asked.  I have tried to work with her to help her better understand my case and she has refused.  In both cases i hired her for a flat rate paid in full at the time the contract was signed.  I highly recomend that if you have no choice but to hire Mrs. Adams you do not pay in advance.  I am writing this review in an attempt to get her to address my concerns and review my case,  please help me by not hiring her.  

In my opinion this is the absolute worst attorney ever. I WOULD NOT HIRE THIS WOMAN IF I COULD GO BACK IN TIME!!!! I thought that she started out as a decent lawyer for my custody case. Told me everything that I needed (wanted) to hear. Sue sue sue......go for it....you got it..... no problem....etc.......etc. Do not believe any of her lies. It is all about money with her. The only thing that was any good was that the opposing council (Matthew Mahoney) let her know that my ex had a DUI that he was handling, she told me that he accidentally gave her that case and then she guaranteed my case because of that (HER EXACT WORDS WERE....YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED, OPPOSING COUNCIL IS SUCH AN IDIOT......ETC, ETC) . Then she just gave up. Did not hear from her for quite awhile after that. The case continued on and I paid over and over again. Nothing happened. In the end i got rid of her. A new attorney and a few weeks later..... my daughter lives with me. Be really careful when it comes to Jessica Adams.

Mrs. Adams was wonderful. She walked us through each step of the process for a custody modification. She covered all bases in out request and followed through on everything asked of her. Not all of her responses to my calls or text were immediate but all were returned. I had to remember that I'm... not her only client. In the court room she was very professional and had a good re pore with both judges we were in contact with. She thought outside the box and was very realistic with us about the outcome. She was able to react to indications and actions of the judge and knew when enough was enough. I would definitely use her again...although I hope I don't have too.

Jessica held a great and comforting conversation with me before I gave her the $2000 retainer fee. After the money was paid, I was never contacted by or got any responses from Jessica. She waited until a couple of days before my court hearing to get a mediation scheduled and during that she was on he...r laptop paying no attention to my case and acted like my questions were bothering her. I could not believe the situation I was in! She originally said she did not want to pursue relocation on temporary orders because it was a long shot but just changed her mind all of a sudden at the end of the mediation and said we might as well try it. She then hounded me for another payment to move forward with the divorce and relocation. There are plenty of other well-qualified attorneys that you should look into.
