Jessica held a great and comforting conversation with me before I gave her the $2000 retainer fee. After the money was paid, I was never contacted by or got any responses from Jessica. She waited until a couple of days before my court hearing to get a mediation scheduled and during that she was on he...r laptop paying no attention to my case and acted like my questions were bothering her. I could not believe the situation I was in! She originally said she did not want to pursue relocation on temporary orders because it was a long shot but just changed her mind all of a sudden at the end of the mediation and said we might as well try it. She then hounded me for another payment to move forward with the divorce and relocation. There are plenty of other well-qualified attorneys that you should look into.

I hired the firm she worked at for a custody case, they assigned my case to Ms. Adams. I had trouble reaching her, and had to leave multiple messages. She was always late for court and never seemed to know the details of my case. She was late for mediation by several hours, to the point the other... attorney nearly cancelled the mediation altogether. I did not understand the agreement I signed and was not able to work with the visitation arrangement after it was entered. Ms. Adams filed a motion for New Trial in my case without ever talking to me about it, causing me to incur extra legal fees. And in the end I did not get the outcome she said I would at the start of the case.

I hired Jessica because she made a lot of promises regarding my divorce/ child custody case. I was very honest with her about my entire situation and she made me feel confident about my case. I gave her $7500 because she promised we would take my case to trial. From the moment I walked out of her off...ice, there was little to no communication with her. She doesn't return phone calls, emails, nothing. She missed several court dates. The judge was fuming mad at her about all the missed dates. I could go on and on about the lies she told me. gave her all info required/requested for her to make a contract for a real estate dealing. she received everything except the pymt which she quickly contacted me about. gave her the pymt and she said she would have it done w/in the week and would email it to me for my review this was in March 2012 .... And to this day Sept 20 2012, I have NEVER gotten anything from her she never returned any of my calls or msgs. I finally got her on her cell phone one day & she told me her paralegal had taken care of my case and she would check with her to see what happened. (her answering service said she didn't have a paralegal) She promised to call me back the next day and apologized for not calling me back sooner but she was under the impression everything had been taken care of. I understand her husband has been ill but she is still practicing and participating in her child's numerous beauty pageants so things can't be that bad - I am not a mean person and have not wanted to report her to the bar but not sure what else to do. I just need that paper work taken care of and do not want to have to pay another attorney to get it done. She handled a child custody case for us a couple yrs ago and was brilliant so I am not sure what happen with her - so today i tried to call her office & the number is disconnected w/no forwarding number - i searched the internet & found she is working for a law firm now. I called but she was not there so i left a msg. when i googled her the state bar website came up and next to her name it said - Current Member Status Not Eligible To Practice In Texas (click for detail) so who knows what is really going on.
