Before opening my own practice, I worked at a prestigious Dallas-based labor and employment law firm. There, I handled scores of cases representing employees. At this law firm, I also represented the firm’s legacy estate planning clients. In May 2018, I returned to my native Houston to open my own practice.
Labor & Employment Law:
I have gone head-to-head with employers to enforce civil rights in the workplace. I have litigated cases against Fortune 500 companies such as Southwest Airlines and Wal-Mart. I have represented a wide range of clients, from workers seeking a reasonable accommodation to workers who tried to improve working conditions for themselves and co-workers.
Estate Planning:
I have represented individuals, couples, couples with children, LGBT+ couples, and clients with special needs children in their estate planning matters. Among others, I have drafted powers of attorney, medical powers of attorney, living wills, trusts, and last wills and testaments for clients. In my representation of estate planning clients, I work with the clients to understand their goals. I explain the documents, their effects, and help devise a strategy that will accomplish that goal.
Education:
I graduated from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law with honors, cum laude. I earned my B.A. in International Studies from Texas A&M University, graduating summa cum laude. While at Texas A&M, I studied abroad in Salzburg, Austria where I perfected my German. During and after law school, I taught myself Spanish and Portuguese.
License and admissions:
I am licensed to practice law in Texas, Federal District Courts in the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas and the District of Colorado.

Prompt and Attentive
Evan was very thorough and attentive when helping us to prepare our will and other associated estate planning documents. He easily walked us through all the decision making and requirements. The whole process was complete from start to finish in about a week. We will definitely return for any modific...
"I had the privilege of working with Evan for nearly 3 years. I saw him hit the ground running as a relatively new lawyer. Immediately, I was able to see his passion and determination, never backing down from a challenge. Over the years, I’ve only seen his passion grow. Evan has a true fighting spirit and seeks justice for his clients. Additionally, Evan is always actively gaining knowledge about the law, regularly attending CLE’s and keeping up-to-date on changes to our legal landscape. I am happy to have seen him begin his legal career and will continue to watch. I expect him to do great things."
