Dillon Norton helped me when dealing with a small claims lawsuit. He was willing to walk me through the step by step process and offer amazing advice in order to take care of this matter. I apologize in advance for not being the best writer but i wanted to leave a review. Never in my life have I’ve ever had a issue with an officer especially when it comes to physical engagement. my significant other and I were going through a divorce. Some days were good and others were bad as we w...ere trying to be respectful and figure out our next steps to move forward. A particular day I went to speak to her at her place of employment. The conversation was not the best conversation especially at here job which i can agree. The officer on duty wanted to check on her which she told the officer to leave as we continue our conversation. The officer didn’t know our relationship so he stuck around. The officer eventually asked me to leave which i coorapatretd but for the officer i wasn’t moving fast enough for him. This is when the conversation escalated between me and the officer. The officer started to get physical which was uncalled for when an individual is following orders. The officer was a lot smaller in weight and height which made him feel he had to be physical with a guy my size. The only issue was he couldn’t stand up properly while trying to subdue me because of the slippery floors of the establishment. He wouldn’t give me a reason for his actions, when asking why is he doing this “your not moving fast enough for me”. The incident grew where the cop got so physical i received a black eye while he made threats of “Im going to shoot you”. A unarmed man is bout to be shoot by a cop who is armed nor did the unarmed man run nor get physical with a smaller individual. This event in my life was all a lot to process. Getting a divorce, getting hit by a cop, going to jail and etc. Of course i needed to obtain a lawyer which Dillon Norton took my case. The main thing that Mr. Dillon ask me was to tell him the truth of the incident. He asked me multiple times to make sure i tell him the truth. I told him all the truth that i possibly could from the night before to the time of the incident. Mr. Dillon told me if your telling me the truth i got your back. i was still unsure all because i never been in a situation of this magnitude especially with the justice system. Mr.Norton took my case serious working hard to get reports, statements and video footage while also asking others lawyers for help with my case. Every visit for court dates, the DA would try to make an offer. I felt video doesn’t lie even if i never saw the video. Mr. Norton pushed back against the DA making them work a little harder. The DA kept trying to make me an offer on many occasions. Once again Mr, Norton asked the same simple question “are you telling the truth” My answer was Yes. The DA went for witnesses of the day event including the officer that was involved. The judge saw there were 3-4 reports that didn’t match and a lack of witness including the officer. Mr. Norton was fighting for me, talking with the DA,talking to the judge, working with outside resources to prove i was innocent. You can imagine my nervousness with the system for some one of my background. Mentally trying to stay happy with this case on my back. But Mr. Norton fought for me where the case was dropped. The DA couldn’t win due to lack of evidence and because MR. Norton was fighting for me. I couldn’t ask for a better lawyer especially when someone who will fight for you just by telling the truth. This was a learning experience and pray never to see a judge on the wrong side of court. Thanks Mr. Norton for believing in me and looking out for my freedom. If you can tell the truth to this man, you have a better chance of him serving you to the best of his ability
