Please don't ever hire this attorney. The lack of communication, empathy, and urgency at her office is a total embarrassment. They took days, weeks, and sometimes even months to respond to my emails, and I was always given sorry excuses as to why the response time took so long. Additionally, when I w...ould finally receive a response from Terri, not all of my questions would be answered! She would pick and choose what she wanted to answer. I hired Terri for what I thought would be a contested divorce so I was told I needed to pay a $6,000 retainer. Well it turned out to be an uncontested divorce and we did not even need to go to mediation. It took her EIGHT months to finalize the divorce when it should have only taken maybe 3 months (due to the 60 day waiting period)!! Not only that, but I haven't been given a single invoice for the work that was done, and I'm still waiting on a partial retainer refund since October 2024!! While I am happy my divorce is finalized, this has been a horrible experience! Terri needs to stop practicing law as she clearly has no respect for her clients.

Worst attorney I've ever met. Over charged for little work and a serious lack of communication. The contract said "you will receive answers within 24 hours", usually any type of vague response took at least 3 weeks. And when you follow up as to why there was no response, you get charged for those ema...ils/phone calls as well. She would promise to file papers or call back with information and we wouldn't hear from her for a month. Forget about getting an itemized invoice from her either, we asked multiple times and never got a response. Even though our court work is done, we still had questions for filling out and filing paperwork, she basically dropped us and won't return our calls or messages and she said it was because of "lack of communication". Sure wasnt on our side. We needed oelne single pice filed after all of this nonsense took place and she said she would take care of it. It has been over 4 weeks now and it still hasn't been filed. She still has copies of paperwork we need back, too. Dusbarment would be a blessing. I wouldn't recommend her services to my worst enemy.

Dealing with Terri has been a nightmare. I’ve been asking for my $5.5k retainer back for years to no avail. If you’re in a similar situation—don’t waste your time trying to be civil and asking politely—file a grievance with the Texas State Bar immediately. Dig deeper than her Google reviews, and you’...ll find multiple people who have experienced what I have. She has an ongoing grievance with the Texas State Bar. I implore you to do more research before hiring her and save yourself the insanity of going through what I and others have.
