Deceptive practices of Deborah Caballero

This is not JUST A REVIEW- this is my personal experience with immigration attorney Deborah Caballero. From the moment I met her, I felt uneasy. My spouse, who is from Angola, was referred to her by other African immigrants. At the time, I was unaware of the true reasons for hiring her, but I later l...earned that her services were often sought by immigrants deceive, using American citizens by misleading and false pretenses of marriage, to expedite green cards. This was shocking and deeply troubling to discover, as I realized this was the underlying reason my spouse hired her. My spouse later shared that Deborah Caballero is known for facilitating such arrangements. I am sharing my story so that others are fully aware of the nature of her services and the potential emotional toll this process can take on U.S. citizens who find themselves in such situations. In my experience, hiring Deborah Caballero positioned me to be misguided, manipulated, and used as part of an immigration strategy. This caused significant mental and emotional stress. This is not a promotion of services, but rather a warning based on my experience with immigration attorney Deborah Caballero. I feel it’s important to share what I went through so that others can make informed decisions. Deborah Caballero is not only known for providing immigration services but will also assist immigrants with divorce proceedings soon after they secure their green cards. This was deeply disappointing and unfortunate to learn, as it highlights a pattern of services that can leave U.S. citizens feeling misled and used. Hiring an attorney who is willing to participate in processes that deceive American citizens can lead to significant emotional turmoil and hardship. My experience serves as a cautionary tale for anyone considering her services. Please think carefully before moving forward with an attorney like Deborah Caballero who may prioritize facilitating deceptive practices over the well-being of all parties involved. I hope my review serves as a warning to others, especially U.S. citizens, to approach such matters with caution. This is a difficult reality to face, but I believe it is important to share my story. Please stay safe and be vigilant—it’s a cruel world at times.

Review

My husband and I were her clients on E2 (investor) visas. Every two years our status needed to be renewed. Once (either she or the Department of Homeland Security) made a simple spelling mistake on my name. Debra could not (or would not) take care of it for almost a year. I needed to go abroad but co...uld not because of this unfixed mistake. Later, she prepared all the documentation necessary for my husband to go to his native country and apply for a visa from there. He got denied, even though he had just renewed his status for two more years just a few months prior. I was still in the US, alone with a baby. When I contacted her to let her know what had happened and ask for her directions, she told me she would soon get back to us on how to proceed. But she did not. I called her mobile and her office more than 20 times, left many messages, to no avail. I just wanted information on how long I could legally stay in the country, considering my status had been tied to that of my husband's. But she did not return my calls. I was left in the dark, living in constant fear that the police would knock my door, and God forbid, take my baby, during the few weeks I needed to sell our property and leave the country as well. My husband had been her client for about 8 years and I had been her client for more than 5; we had always paid her legal fees on time. But when something terrible happened, instead of offering the assistance she was legally obligated to as our attorney, she simply disappeared.

Deborah is someone you can trust and count on

Deborah represented my case as an immigration attorney and I found her to be extremely professional, trustworthy and someone I could rely and count on. She lead us through the entire process with proper documentation and research. Deborah's rates were very reasonable and she not only understands and ...empathizes with her client's situation, she agressively fights for their rights. I have recommended Deborah to many friends and they are all very pleased with her exceptional service and great attitude.
