I immediately contacted and hired Chris Thornhill when I was notified by a debt collector that I was being sued for 14,000 dollars over a car that was stolen 4 years ago. This was a complicated case that Chris listened to and began working on stopping the lawsuit right away. In the end he not only go...t the bank to buy back the debt from the collection agency but also got them to agree to delete everything from my credit report as if this loan never existed. I have tried to get this taken care of for the last 4 years and have never found anyone that would help or could help until Chris Thornhill. I will recommend him to anyone who ask about an attorney and I will continue to use him in the future for any issues we may have.

I contacted Mastriani Law for help with a default credit card judgement against my mother in law that we had no knowledge of until she was attempting to sell her house. The judgement had been entered against her on a credit card debt that wasn't even hers. From the beginning, I greatly appreciated ...that their administrative assistant would set up a specifically scheduled time for a call back rather than just the open ended "I'll give them the message". We discussed options about how to challenge and remove the judgement. Ultimately, we decided that it would be best to first attempt to negotiate with the credit company's attorney for a "convenience" payoff since we were under the time pressure of trying to get this resolved in order to be clear to close on the sale of the house. I was impressed that they suggested this, especially since it meant that it would lower the amount we would be paying to them pretty significantly by avoiding going to court. We set a maximum acceptable amount, which was pretty low to begin with, and Chris Thornhill, one of Mastriani's associates, began attempts to negotiate. It took a bit longer than we had hoped initially, but the firm was pretty good at keeping us updated that the other side still hadn't responded. (Chris was also very good at setting realistic expectations of time lines from the beginning, which he was pretty accurate about.) In the end, Chris managed to get us a deal that was significantly lower than our "max" which was fantastic. He was also very thorough to make sure that things were closed out in a way that most protected my mother in law in case the credit company attempted anything in the future. I would highly recommend them, and would definitely use them again. (Although, hopefully I never have to.)
