STAY AWAY not a good attorney

Originally called for Mr. Sullivan and Nancy Botts answered told me he wasn't available and she decided to take my case I actually thought she was his secretary and I'm sorry I hired her and wish I would have spoken with Mr. Sullivan instead. I had a case of Assault - Bodily Injury (never been in tr...ouble a day in my life) and Nancy Botts who handled my case did absolutely NOTHING in court for the amount of money I paid her. I paid a cash bond to get a court date which was the arraignment and when the date came, I seen a BIG red flag about Nancy who lied and withheld information from me. I should have walked away then but me always trying to see good in people I decided to go forth. Second court date came court began at 9:30, Nancy called me while still in the uber at 9:32 stating I am just going to sign paperwork and do an online course, and my case will be dismissed. Not realizing until I started reading the agreement it was a pretrial intervention not what I wanted or was looking forward too and Nancy never explained that it was a PTI, just baited me to sign paperwork for easy money. I feel like I was scammed. I arrived at court 15 minutes late because of uber. Nancy tells lies for a living, so she lied to her client and didn't inform me of nothing that happened while I wasn't there in court. Nancy never showed me any video evidence , she never spoke to me about my options, never fought for me as her client and just settled for easy money and made a poor decision on my behalf while I was not yet in court. She began to become very rude and spoke to me very harsh. Had I would have known she was a court appointed attorney I would have never hired her. Please stay away from hiring Nancy, she will not go the extra mile for a dismissal and I regret I hired her. She scams you out of money and does nothing for you. I wish I could this lady no stars but I had to give one for the review.

Great Attorney and Amazing and honest Person

Nancy Botts is an attorney that cares about her clients. She is nonjudgmental and works hard for her clients. I called her as my son was facing two felony cases. He was being held in California waiting to be transferred to Texas. She provided me with helpful information and was very caring and sweet.... She refused to accept our money because she could not help him until he was transferred. Other attorneys used scare tactics and wanted thousands of dollars before giving us any details. I was ready to hire her on the spot. My sons charges were dropped but if we ever need an attorney in Texas Ms. Botts will be our only call. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an honest and caring lawyer.

Definition of poor communication

If I could give zero stars I would. The team this attorney Nancy boys works for may be good but her listening skills and efforts for her client is horrific do yourself a favor and look elsewhere if there’s any chance this is your attorney her own disciplinary actions speak for herself. I have a very ...small history of criminal activity after explaining to mrs botts she stated I never did which is the most stupidest thing to hide as if it’s not readily and easily visible for her or any dealing with court situations this was one of the many issues I experienced with her she easily lets information go in one ear and out the other.

She didn’t care

I wish we didn’t use her for our son. Once she heard about our son’s case she didn’t care anything about him. It didn’t matter what the unique circumstances were or that he had never been in trouble a day in his life, she only cared about money. She basically just wanted him to take prison time an...d told him he would never make it through probation. Thank goodness God prompted us to find another attorney who believed in our son And who wouldn’t stop until he got him the sentence he deserved. Please do your research before hiring her!

I wish I would have gotten another lawyer

I hired Mrs. Botts under the recomendattion of a family friend to defend me in a felony charge I received. I can honestly say that she made it seem as if she didn't care about me or my future. After my court dates kept getting pushed back the finally gave me a plea offer. She told me to take the ple...a offer and said I would not get anything better. Since I have never before been in trouble with the law I thought that she was right and decided to take the offer. Little did I know at that time that I had just gotten a terrible deal. Reality was she just wanted to get my case over with since she already had my money she made it obvious that she was not interested in fighting for me and didn't care about my future. I pretty much paid her just to lecture me and tell me that what I did was bad and that I was stupid for what I did. It was a POS charge by the way. Obviously what I did what was wrong but the reason I hired Mrs. botts was to help me get the best outcome out of the mistake I made. I feel like I would have been better off or the same just going with a court appointed lawyer and not spending my money on someone who did almost nothing at all for me... after getting probation I learned from other people I met while doing community service that had the same charge didn't have to do all of the extra things I had to do or had to pay as many fines or do as many community service hours. For example she didn't even ask for a due date for my NA meeting which even my probation officer said was very unusual and that even a lawyer with a little bit of experience would know to ask a due date of 3 months or so. But no I have been going to NA meetings for 18 months so far which will only meet the end whenever im done with probation. Obviously she knew about this but didn't care to even ask for the due date for this probation requirement. Now that I am eligible for early termination I asked her if she would do my paperwork required and I would even pay her if I have to (most lawyers do it as part of the initial fee you pay them) she told me I would have to pay her extra and after two weeks she told me she was not going to do it because she didn't have time for me. If you are thinking about getting her I would strongly urge you towards choosing another attorney who will put more effort towards fighting for your best interests. If I could give 0 stars I would.
